Creating a successful online businesses is something that has obsessed me, inspired me, exhausted me and damn near killed me! The truth is there is no better communication tool in the world than the internet and no cheaper way of creating something out of nothing. It is a satisfying thing having your own piece of cyber real estate that can help you get out of the 9 – 5 rat race and live your dreams!

I get my son off to school then swing over to Starbucks to get my iced tea. Once I get back home I grab the lap top and work for a few hours on articles and research. Once my little guy is done with school we hit the park, lunch, mall, even an afternoon at Magic Mountain since we live less than 10 miles away from there. I couldn’t ask for a better internet lifestyle.

I just discovered your site through an article I found on Entrepreneur.com. I also enjoy some of the benefits articulated above since I work for a virtual company from home. Dear Everyone,

Wow, talk about inspiring! I live in London Ontario Canada, and would love to have any of you come my way to do a seminar or two for budding entrepeneurs. I have spent 12 years in the military, turning 36 now, finishing up an accounting diploma this April, and found out my wife, stepson, daughter and I are pregnant with another lil bundle of joy. Despite the stresses of having to look for work soon, exams, kids etc., I am always thinking of that online business idea (or two). I was initially going to start selling eco-friendly comfy clothes with my own brand, but, after reading here I believe selling my new found skills, and some old ones would pay off a lot more! (Less overhead to boot!)

Anyways, thanks for the inspirations all.

Hi Yanik. My internet lifestyle is as a writer for musicians doing bios and articles for them online, and I’m a golf writer who’s going to start Putting
workshops for golfers. These are my two main blogs and I have a nutrition
and sports blog as well.

I have yet to make money, but as long as I love what I’m doing, I know the money will come for me with the internet lifestyle. Like Eben Pagan says; keeping Pushing the free line before and after you start making money.

A couple follow-ups:

Kevin Simms – great to hear how you’re doing.
It’s encouraging for others to hear ‘real-life’ stories
and hopefully more successes will post here to prove
it really is possible.

Ralph Zuranski – One of the nicest and most sincere
guys out there! And you’re right even in dark moments
like caring for your parents through severe illness -
having your income online means you don’t have to be
away from them.

GrumpyOldChef – No I won’t tell you work harder.
But I will ask you to examine what you are selling.
I’ll probably post about this at some point. But
I think a lot of people get it wrong by trying to
sell oversaturated products. I’d rather see you work
12 hours/day (if you need to at first) on your product
then you have 100% control, income, etc.

Franck – about the 1 or 2 beers at lunch – it’s not everyday
and sometimes it’s a glass of wine

I just like that feeling that you don’t have to worry
about it. If I have a nice piece of tuna and a pinot noir
will be the perfect compliment – I want to drink a glass
instead of worrying about my boss or co-workers

Gordon Jay Alexander – Great to see you here!
Hmm…don’t remember my vertical at my prime but yours
sounds pretty darn impressive. I don’t think I was quite
up there.

Cindy Carraway – A lot of times are biggest positive changes
come from extreme frustration. I know a lot of people are
sick and tired of their regular grind. But let that be
motivation for you to work during your off hours on
creating an asset that will keep paying you back. You can
start small like so many other people I’ve helped.

Kevin Thompson – not sure if I remember the exact conversation
but I do remember talking to you there and then hearing
your mold removal site. Just proves you can sell almost anything
online

Roberto – Enjoy that first sale! I still remember my very first
sale and the customer (R.K. in New York). It’s an incredible
feeling and use that same feeling of “It’s working” to reach higher.

Allan Gardyne – that’s a perfect definition. “Follow the Sun”

It’s so inspiring to see everyone on here and how the Internet has
contributing in big ways to the freedom we are all looking for!

I’m still learning the ropes of making money online, but I can’t wait for the day when I’m interrupted by my wife or children while I’m at work. I’m ready to break free of the shackles.

Jeff, I’m with you. I think too many people are comfortable with where they are and just don’t want to take the steps necessary to improve their lives for themselves and their families.

I’m driving myself for a better life. I can’t wait to see the results as they come in.

Great insights Yanik – agree with everything you wrote – especially the balance of expectancy with cheerfulness and understanding the “giving” principle. Honestly, this is one I constantly have to remind myself about – sometimes it gets lost in the day-to-day craziness.

One thing you didn’t mention that seems to be at the root of all entrepreneurs and successful people…is a dissatisfaction with their current situation.

So many people roll over and play dead when they hit adversity – others continue to drive forward, never satisfied with where they are. For many entrepreneurs sometimes it’s hard to tell if this is a gift or a curse, but nevertheless, it’s often at the root of action, drive, persistance and success.

I loved reading all the others stories and what a great idea doing this relating to our lifestyles and other secrets! As a beginner my lifestyle wouldn’t be anthing anyone else would desire but my minds tells me that I can desire and as Yanik said it’s more than desire and hope so I meditate on that as often as I can. I even treat myself and spend sometime on line house hunting and looking at houses for sale with my husband when we find the time.
