What’s your Internet Lifestyle?
There’s been a lot of changes going on in my life lately…new house, new baby….and I guess a new site right here…
About 6 months ago, I purchased this domain (InternetLifestyle.com) because I thought it really captured everything I’m about. So I’m looking forward to seeing how this site evolves (and hopefully you’ll have a say in it). I really want to be beyond any type of “box” product.
It seems like just yesterday (really it was 2000) I started working out of my 1-bedroom apartment with a glimmer of an idea for my first website. (Yeah, I know this sounds like an informercial already – but I promise I will not show you how to place tiny classified ads.)
And now today, I have dozens of successful websites bringing in automatic cash flow for me regardless if I work or not. Of course, some months are better than others depending on if I’m actively running a promotion or not – but my original site InstantSalesLetters.com is still going strong after 7 ½ years making 6-figures per year.
Not bad, right?
Considering the fact I’ve basically not changed the site in years – I’d say pretty darn good. (Now, of course that’s another post when I show you how stupid and lazy I’ve been by not testing enough on this site and how I’m changing it.) And I still have no clue how to put up my own website.
Personally, the Internet Lifestyle means being able to do pretty much whatever you want, almost anytime you want and let the Internet pay for it!
Actually, most of my friends still wonder how I’m driving around in a brand new Aston Martin and how my wife, Missy, and I can take off for so many trips. A few years ago, we spent 2 months living on the beach in Manhattan Beach, California where we rented a house and just brought our laptops. I picked Manhattan Beach because I’m big into beach volleyball (even though I’m 5’8” – but I can jump!)
And that’s just another aspect of the Internet Lifestyle to me – do your work from anywhere you can get an Internet connection and follow your passions. I loved being able to look out at the Pacific Ocean each day and play volleyball almost every other day there. Last year we headed back again for a few weeks but this time with our son, Zak.
Personally, my own Internet Lifestyle means experiencing life to the fullest and living adventures! I get my thrills from any kind of extreme activity like Running with the Bulls, bungee jumping, sky diving, Baja racing, exotic car road rallies, falling out of attics, Zero G flights, an upcoming trip into space and more. I’ve posted a lot of these on my InternetRoadTrip.com blog.
I know for some people these kind of outlandish adventures aren’t for them – but if there is something you’re passionate about and excited for you can do it thanks to the income generated online. Or some people don’t need to make a fortune online – they’re happy with a little website on the side making a few extra bucks and maybe paying for a car payment or 2.
Truth is, never before have we lived in such a time filled with immense opportunity to do your own thing…quickly and easily. The Internet has truly been a revolution for anyone that wants to either “Moonlight Online” or got at it full-time and make a solid 6 or 7-figure+ income.
I love it when I hear from others living the “Internet Lifestyle” and would love to hear your comments.
If you’re already succeeding online what’s the best aspect of the Internet Lifestyle for you? Or what would the ultimate Internet Lifestyle look like for you?
Here are a couple things off the top of my head what the Internet Lifestyle means to me:
- Being able to take my son to his “My Gym” class on a Thursday and be the only Dad there.
- Having people from all over the world respect and appreciate your contributions.
- Meeting exciting and switched-on Entrepreneurs who enjoy having fun and good times to “mastermind” in whatever city we decide on. (Hmm…Amsterdam and Vegas were interesting!)
- Never having to set my alarm clock. (Or more recently being naturally awoken to the soothing sounds of a newborn crying.
- Drinking a beer (or 2) for lunch.
- Having money come in on autopilot while I was sleeping.
- Doing the work once and getting paid over and over again.
- Being able to fund nearly any kind of adventure by putting out another quality product or offering.
- Wearing shorts and t-shirts all day.
- Never having to worry about shaving.
- Forgetting what “Rush Hour” is and being surprised when you hit a standstill on the beltway in the afternoon.
- Never answering to a boss.
- Being able to turn off the laptop and take Zak to the Splash park
- Having your Accountant perplexed and surprised when you see him each year at what you do and how much it brings in.
- Being able to watch every little milestone in your son’s (and now daughter’s) life. Everything from his first real smile, first step and first word.
- Working with who I want…when I want.
- Deciding to splurge on a bottle of Colgin IX Syrah at a steakhouse with your buddies.
- Never waiting in lines because your concierge has put you on the VIP list.
- Not living for the weekends.
- Not having to look at the right-hand side of a menu when deciding what to order.
- Contributing to the causes and charities that are important to me.
Now to be honest, it’s not all good leading the Internet Lifestyle and working out of the house.
Missy will forget I have a “real” job and interrupt me to ask about what kind of rug we should get for the kitchen. Or Zak will knock on my office door during a conference call asking for “DaDa”. Or having the fridge be a few feet away to grab the last slice of pizza anytime I want.
But I wouldn’t want it any other way. Let’s hear your thoughts – post a comment.
What is your Internet Lifestyle?
What do you love about your own Internet Lifestyle? Or if you haven’t got there yet – how would you like it look like? See if you can list 10 things…

Just wait until your little girl starts coming to your door and calling, “loves?” (asking for hugs) . . .

You inspire me and frustrate me at the same time, in a positive way. I am working hard to materialize dreams… that are kind of like yours. Its kind of hard when there is so much going on, but I now all you say is true and good will happen to me and for many other people.
Thanks for sharing!

You are amazing Yanik, and congratulations on the new house and baby. This place looks like fun!!! I hope I can be a lifetime member, and it’s an honor being here…
July 20th, 2007 at 10:08 am
Yeah Internet LifeStyle is what it’s all about.
Having the time to do the things you want and having the things yo want, while you can enjoy them. Very important to add: It’s all about the cash flow.
Thanks Yanik.
This is going to be a great site.
July 20th, 2007 at 10:08 am
Yanik,
I think this is a really cool idea. It provides a great network for those whom are already living the life or aspire to do so.
The top 10 things I love about my “Internet Lifestyle” are:
1. Being able to pick up and travel at any time without having to ask anyone for vacation time. We will be going on our 6th non-business related travel excursion for the year next week.
2. Having an automated source of income so while we are on vacation, we continue to produce sales.
3. Having time to work on new business projects that both inspire and challenge me.
4. Being able to inspire others who in the beginning thought my business was just a silly project.
5. Having the ability to pick up and take a walk in the park with my husband during the middle of the day.
6. Being able to afford a very comfortable lifestyle.
7. The ability to be a part of mastermind groups with others who live similar lifestyles and have similar business models.
8. Having the knowledge from my experiences and being able to use that to help others get their businesses off the ground.
9. Being able to work from my home office and then walking up to my husband’s office on the third floor (works from home) to chat with him any time of day.
10. Living my dream!
July 20th, 2007 at 10:32 am
Hi Yanik,
You started this blog on my birthday, so I consider that a good sign! I have been independent since 2003, owning my own business, but I’m trying to migrate more out of the traditional writing world (print for the business-to-business market) into online stuff. So I find your site inspiring!
My Internet lifestyle “dream” is totally different. I do like not fussing with clothes, keeping the hours that suit you, and all the rest. But my goal is not to amass a large amount of free time. I actually LOVE to work, and the idea of writing a lot, especially on subjects that interest me, sounds like my ideal scenario.
I’m really jazzed by the idea of philanthropy. Right now, I support five kids in different parts of the world through a program called Compassion. All of these kids live in parts of the world where things like basic medical care and clean drinking water are hard to come by. My goal: give to them.
Isn’t America great? We are so fortunate to live in a land where people can make a surplus. There are places in the world where no matter how hard you work, you can never get ahead. So my Internet lifestyle would be one that would enable an ordinary person in Texas to be a philanthropist.
One of my Compassion kids lives in Ethiopia. One year, I sent her some birthday money (all of $35) and she used it to buy a cow and sent me a picture. It’s right here on my desk. That cow made a big difference for her and her family…and what a bargain. $35 to help a family! I have also seen my contributions to an orphan boy in Haiti buy a goat for his adopted family and money to a boy in India (his mother has TB and his father is crippled) buy beds for the family.
What we do online can literally change the world even if it’s just one kid at a time.

I often spend my mornings in the dog park letting the pup run free while I brainstorm good ideas for my Internet biz. One of the great things about the Internet Lifestyle is I can call the dog park “My office”.
But today at the park, my lil’ pup cut his leg open chasing another dog through the bushes…had to take him to the vet and he’s getting stitches.
If I had a real job, I’d be stressing about the time spent at the vet’s and the bill I have to pay…
But I borrowed an idea from Paul McCartney who is credited with saying, “I’m going to go write myself a swimming pool”.
So I went home from the vet’s, wrote an email to my list, and paid off the vet bill in about 30 minutes. I “wrote myself a vet bill” I guess you could say…
All thanks to the internet lifestyle.

Hey Brother,
Your right in every regard as usual Yanik.
I can really appreciate Javier’s frustration in his comment too and I’ll add a ditty in here for those who can relate…
The hard times happen, but the good FAR will outweigh the bad.
I remember my car being repossessed, having no place to live, and losing my girlfriend and then my job, all in the same month!
I gave myself 15 minutes to “cry about it”, and then made a plan to fix it.
TO ALL THOSE WHO AREN’T THERE YET: I made $6/hr as a receptionist when I started on the net. Sometimes working over 14 hours a day to learn everything that I could. I failed hundreds of times and my friends laughed at me. Most people laughed at the guy who kept working on things that didn’t work.
Why would anyone invest so much time into something that keeps failing? The answer was in “Think and Grow Rich”… Every failure was a success to me, and we learned more from failures than we did from our successes.
When I bought my dream car (my Audi TT Roadster), the laughing slowed.. When I bought my new home on the lake, the laughing was all but gone… when I paid cash for my gorgeous wedding on the same lake my home is on, I was toasted as the man who “didn’t listen to his friends” and just did.
Now we’re selling the house and the wife and I are going on a couple year trip around the world with our 3 year old. I’ll still “log on” and work, but because of my Internet Lifestyle I am able to have that option.
All of us who “live the dream” know the cool little things we get like Yanik and Amanda said, they are GREAT!
To sum it up in one word – FREEDOM
Imagine being completely free to do what you want, when you want, with who you want. Thats what an Internet Lifestyle is all about.
Never give up until you have it,
- Mike

Thank you for sharing in this new blog!
I am in the middle of transitioning my consulting practice into an internet-based company, so I only partially feel the benefits. Mostly, because my internet business does not make as much money as my consulting practice … yet.
But I already have these wonderful benefits:
(1) If my daughter is sick, or I want to spend more time with her, I just pull her out of preschool for the day and we hang out.
(2) Wednesday afternoon I went to see the Harry Potter movie. Just because I felt like it.
(3) If I want to go visit family, I can do it whenever.
(4) Takes me like 5 second to get to work.
(5) I can go shopping, go to the bank, go to a doctor’s appointment, get my haircut, at anytime. I never have to do stuff during “peak” hours, so I never stand in line.
(6) I’m able to help people at all price points (as low as $7 for a special report), so I don’t have to turn away people who can afford my consulting fees.
And the best part is that it’s all up from here. I have a ton of stuff that is about to hit the market over the next few months, and all the work will be done. After that, it’s just marketing. I could sell millions of copies or memberships, and it would require a minimal amount of additional work on my part.
It’s just a matter of keeping the faith until I get there.
Thanks!
Elizabeth

Hey Yanik, I’ll give it a shot:
1. Letting my wife get dressed up, fight traffic, and go to work every day without having to worry about making enough money to survive (she *WANTS* to do this, don’t ask me why…).
2. Being able to block off two hours for my son’s baseball / football / soccer game on a weekday afternoon.
3. Writing a check to some charity because of some sudden need and knowing that somebody’s problem just went away.
4. Spending the summer with “Babcia” in Poland (or flying “Babcia” to us — whatever works).
5. Truly and sincerely turning my wife loose in the mall!
6. Being free to help others with my talent, time, and treasure.
7. Speaking at Underground (fill in the blank) and seeing a couple hundred people benefit from what I said.
8. Buying and eating LOTS of fresh fruits and vegetables year-round.
9. Watching my children start their own business because they want to be like Daddy.
10. Helping 1,000,000 people earn an extra $1,000 a month (my big goal).
How’s that for starters? Every last one of them is do-able.
Thanks,
Tom

Ahh the internet lifestyle…
I started my feeble attempts at internet marketing in late 2004/early 2005. Spent over a year and a half failing to make anything work while I continued to slave away at my 9 to 5 job.
Finally, it all started to come together in 2006. The income online increased, and I dropped to part time in the job. Late 2006/early 2007, it finally exploded!
I quit the $60K/year “day job” about 7 months ago, and in just the last 7 months, am well on my way to hitting 7 figures. It’s been a dream come true…
My internet lifestyle involves just doing anything I want, whenever I want. If a friend calls me to go golfing, I’m there. Somebody calls and wants to go fishing or mtn biking or just to the beach for the day, I’m there.
And one of the most exciting things for me personally, no damn alarm-clock anymore!
Some of my friends don’t understand my new lifestyle… they don’t understand how I can keep myself busy in all my free time without a “job”. What free time? I’ve got something different and adventurous going on every single day almost…. and if I’m not doing something, I’m working on my internet biz from whereever I choose to take my laptop.
I spent most of last winter working from my laptop from ski resorts skiing my ass off and having a blast, while working on my biz in any free time I had. It’s always been a dream of mine to have the freedom to travel the world and now because of the power of the internet, my dream has come true.
But beyond all of the personal freedom and financial benefits, here’s what I really love about my internet business (which, by the way is mostly fitness related)…
I’m now helping tens of thousands of people in countries from every corner of the globe improve their quality of life. It puts a smile on my face when I see the emails pouring in from people in Slovenia, Singapore, Malaysia, Trinidad, Belize, India, Cypress, and dozens of other countries where I have made a positive influence on their life by helping to improve their health/fitness.
That’s the internet lifestyle!

Quite frankly Yanik, I only dream about my internet lifestyle and what it will be like hopefully in the near future. Adjusting to a home based business has been more difficult than anticipated, and like yourself, I am interupted quite often by my 11 month old son Cale screaming for me to come play with him and/or various other distractions that make me want to pull my freakin hair out, but a few deep breaths later, after I’ve regained some perspective,
I’m very thankful for those who live in my office, I mean house.
With that being said, an in all seriousness, my vision and dreams of what my internet lifestyle will soon be like – traveling with family and friends, brainstorming with others who share the same “internet lifestyle” of having fun while implementing wildly successful ideas and masterminding with the best of the best,
Be back soon, Cale is crying…

Great blog idea! My internet lifestyle is allowing me to and others in helping to create a world of millions of people living happily with their true love. Together we can impel ourselves and others to co-create our world in perfect harmony. The internet lifestyle is allowing me to reach millions to live as happily as I am (my story below).
By the way, I am having to rush off to meet a landscaper to take care of a piece of commerial property. I can do that in the middle of the day because of my And Find True Love business is internet based.
So, yes the money is great! The freedom is great. But what is the greatest great is that I will reach million of people and have a huge impact on our world.
Here’s a Little of My Story – the one I want everyone else to have
One day, I realized that, even though I was successful and had a full social life, I was missing that one special person to share my life with. I wanted someone to tell about my day, to listen to about their day, someone to watch the sunsets with, someone to love me, someone I could love back.
I decided that all the “shoulds” weren’t working for me. I owned the company, had the car, the house, and the lifestyle. I knew without a doubt that I had to find my own way — Colleen’s way.
Then I discovered a song that I played over and over. It got me out of my thinking, list-making brain and into my heart where I discovered what I wanted in true love, my irresistible definition of true love — irresistible because somehow the feelings and images the song evoked pulled at a deep part of me, a part I knew to resonate from the true me, the irresistible me.
After three months of listening to that song, I found my true love while doing what came naturally to me — kayaking.
Sound easy? Well, it was! And, I had fun rewiring my brain, letting go of all those “shoulds” from the past, and discovering my irresistible definition of true love. I knew that if I could do it, so could you, if you only knew how. So I bought the rights to the song, re-recorded it, wrote the support material in this system, and am excited to share my happiness with you (www.AndFindTrueLove.com) through my internet business.
PS I’m in the process of updating my product and my site so I signed up for Yanik’s internet selling program, so keep checking in with my site. It will be changing dramatically within the next 6 weeks.

Yanik – Cool site, cool idea.
Your instant sales letters product opened the door for me.
I stormed through that door and haven’t looked back since.
Have traveled (and gotten paid) to Brazil, Alaska, Norway, France, Bahamas, and other places due to the internet lifestyle.
Many more trips are planned.
Brazil is now my home away from home.
It’s allowed me to work with the best of the best in the fitness industry.
I’m lucky to be able to help people get healthy as well.
I lost my Dad this week. He died at 83 years old. We were best friends.
But fortunately he understood what I was doing (internet lifestyle) and that makes me happy.
Thanks for everything!
Congrats on the new baby!

Yanik, congrats to you and Missy on your new arrival! I like your idea here for an internet lifestyle site and blog very much; it’s super to give other folks insipiration and hope… heck you’ve been one of the main guys inspiring me for many years, and you’re a lot younger than I am… making more, too! Great work with all your sites.
Congrats on everything – you’re one of the true innovators. Your seminar themes are world-class, as is your training. Looking forward to seeing what you come out with next…
Thanks,

Thanks for all the replies so far…
I get real excited when I see others enjoying their lives thanks to ideas they’ve come up with.
Javier – It’s good to be frustrated. Sometimes that’s the first step to change. I recently dropped 9 lbs because I finally got
so fed-up with the way I slowly gained a little extra.
Amanda & Craig – it’s great hearing from some of our MasterMind members who are “doing it”.
(Amanda was one of our Underground III speakers too!)
Jo Ann – I absolutely agree about giving and charity. It’s great you’re doing that. This will be another post but I positively think
when I started making a specific effort to give away a % of our income each month (no matter how big or small) – my business really
took off. I have to check – but I think last year we gave away $150k and that’s exciting when you are able to have such a profound impact.
P.S. Happy Bday!
Mike Hill – great to hear from you dude. A couple year trip around the world with your 3-year old. You are a brave man. That’s awesome! Really, really cool!
Tom – I love your BIG goal of helping a million people earn an extra $1000/month. I actually have a mission for this site I’ll be sharing
more about soon. It’s to create $100,000,000.00 a year in charity donations by members pledging 5% of what they earn (gross). So that’s 2,000 people making $1M online (or more).
And as far as speaking at the Undergrond – I’m always looking for good
“under-the-radar” doers!
Mike (the Abs guy) – 7 months ago you went full-time and now you’re set for 7 figures? Amazing! That kind of stuff is so inspiring
and exciting about the Internet. Nice job!
Christina – Yeah I can relate, sometimes you wish you actually had an office to go to…and I know some of my friends have done just that. There’s pros and cons to each.
Scott – living in Brazil and running your biz from there. How cool.
I think a lot of people are hitting on ‘FREEDOM’ as a key point to all of this. Keep ‘em coming!

Yanik, upon first reading your email and seeing InternetLifestyle.com,
I thought, “What a great domain!”
Congratulations on finding that domain available!
Your blog is very motivational! I look forward to receiving more
emails and seeing more blog postings.
Personally, I entered the world of information marketing during
November of 2006, when I attended Dan Kennedy’s Info-Summit.
It was life changing…
After watching your presentation on public domains, I made my first
investment!
I’m still learning from the tons of information you sent me (thanks for
the bonus products!). I personally call it Yanik University. LOL
You told me during a conference call to focus on earning my first dollar, which I did. Since then, I’ve been making more sales, getting more opt-ins, increasing my knowledge, and of course, creating more products.
Now, I’m looking forward to one day living the internet
lifestyle at it’s fullest!
Thanks for the continued motivation.
July 20th, 2007 at 5:05 pm
It is always so uplifting and refreshing to hear the good, positive stuff. Yanik, thanks once again for contributing to “what’s good in the Internet ‘hood”.
Oh! And I want to thank you for the Instant Sales Letters. They have really saved me a lot of time. One of the best investments I’ve made. Along with your help and from others like Joe Vitale and Jim Edwards, I’ve propelled my Internet business forward like wildfire.
I’m doing something a little different, though. I’m building a tremendous business in the Wellness Industry, which Paul Zane Pilzer (New York Times best selling author and advisor to two US Presidents) forecasts to be the Trillion Dollar Industry. Pilzer also predicts 10 million new millionaires in the next 10 years in the USA, a lot of whom will come on scene via the Internet.
A couple of years ago, I was making about $30,000 a year as a marketing consultant, and earning my clients 10 to 20 times that amount. In the meantime, I suffered a small stroke and had no insurance. Boom! All of sudden, with one foot in the grave and another one on a banana peel, I was $30,000 in debt to hospitals and doctors and faced $750/month in prescriptions. Ouch! Over the course of several months I racked up $50,000 in credit card debt trying to head off the medical expenses. Wow!
What’s a guy to do in that kind of situation? Bankruptcy sure isn’t the answer any more, since that new legislation went into affect last year.
When I combined my new Wellness business (that by the way has helped my health and wealth) with the Internet, I’m now on a whole new and course of abundance.
I am applying the Viral aspects of Internet Marketing into a Viral Marketing Program around my Wellness Business…by inviting others to become Marketing Associates with me. Kind of takes the MLM and Network Marketing concepts of old into a whole new arena and spectrum that actually WORKS.
Anyway, thanks for putting up this new blog. Thanks for inviting me into your subscriber base. Thanks for your help and contribution to the industry. And, congratuations on your personal and business blessings and achievements. You certainly DO contribute to a great Internet Lifestyle.
I have also found some of the responces to this blog interesting.

Dear Yanik,
It has been a privilege working with you at your seminars taking photos and doing the testimonial videos over the years.
I have discovered many new heroes and friends at your events. They are the best seminars out there.
I appreciate you being one of the first heroes to be interviewed. You are very successful and know how to make money and teach others to do the same.
Your desire to over-deliver is one of the reasons you are so successful. Plus, you still maintain a major degree of humility which is rare in this industry.
I can relate to having a new human being in your home. Young children are such a joy even though that require lots of love, time and maintenance.
Since my mom died in April, I only have to change diapers on my dad. Thankfully he can still feed himself. It is not as much fun as with a newborn but it is still rewarding taking care of family members who need help.
Now that my mom is gone, my wife’s two granddaughters, Lauren 8 and Hannah 10, along with their mom Stephanie have moved in permanently from Texas.
WOW, am I even out of my league dealing four women of differing ages. I have never raised any children and am totally a newbie when it comes to washing tons of clothes, feeding hungry mouths and trying to be a positive influence with out being a dictator and old grump.
I have decided to do the next phase of the “In Search Of Heroes Program” focusing on women heroes. I need their help and advice big time. I know I will learn a lot in the next round of interviews. IHannah, Lauren and Stephanie will do the interviews with the new women heroes and I will still do the men.
I cannot tell you how much your heroes interview impressed and inspired me, along with all the others I have done. Yours is one of my favorities.
Making my living on the internet, gives me the opportunity to work from home (actually I am banished to my dads old woodworking shed). It is great working on the internet because there would be no way I could have taken care of my mom and dad for three years full time if I had to work outside the home.
As one of your affiliates, it is so sweet to see your greeting pop up in my email box:
Here are the details: ”
You just got a new order…
“Hi Ralph,
Ka-ching!
Congratulations – you just made another sale and earned 17.99…
(Hey – do a little money dance you earned it)
This year, I plan to be one of your top affiliates. Your websites, products, sales letters, and autoresponder series are some of the best in the industry.
Keep up the good work!!!!

Yanik, enlightened entrepreneurs are going to change the world, make the biggest positive impact. It is us who have the awareness that we can empower other people to be self reliant and throw away the dependency mantalliy, we will improve every thing around us.
With our home business we are busier than ever with camping, vacations, Karate lessons, swimming, bike riding, hiking, reconnecting with family members, Jr. Pre-teen Miss Washington Pageant, confrences and oh yeah Marketing. Thank God our business travels with us.

Yanik,
That list is a great motivator to find that path to support a lifestyle via the internet. It’s going to happen. To much to experience and explore to spend 1/3 of a life in an office.

Yanik,
If a practical definition, for internet lifestyle, can be coined around your lifestyle, then it would be “Live Life to The Full”
July 21st, 2007 at 10:18 am
How sweet it is.
I’ve only been selling eBooks online on eBay 15 months, but I’ve yet to reach $1000 in sales and my biggest sale was $8. Total affiliate sales $22.
I’ve had a website 3 months, no visitors, no sales, no adsense.
I guess I just keep going, I may get lucky.
{No corny “the harder you work etc, thanks LOL} I work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Something might break. I never worked this much when I was “working”.
Not too impressed with this month’s sales av. 22 cents a day!!

Yanik,
Thanks for all the inspiration! It was an article about you in the $1,000,000 magazine that fired me up about all the possibilities.
Life has its ups and downs… I went from a dead-broke emigrant with no English, no skills, nada… to a pretty decent success, first in real estate, then in the corporate marketing world, and now online.
And I’m still just at the beginning of this exciting journey (of which you and others like you) are a big part of. So thank you!

Hey Yanik,
For me it’s everything you said… Except “Drinking a beer or two for lunch”. Not very healthy… Take care.
I prefer my milk/chocolate man!

This blog is a great idea!
Just reading the entries posted so far is reinspiring me. I launched my site awhile ago — and am ashamed to say that I’ve hardly put anything into it since.
My whole original goal was to be the Yanik Silver of the nonprofit development office, to inspire grantwriters and development folk – & to be home with my kids.
Keep up the positive motivation – and thanks!

Yanik:
What a difference it has made since I attended your teleconference and visited your sites! Things that I have wanted to do for years are now comnig together very fast! My most serious task right now – naming my new domain!
And what a great idea … an Internet Lifestyle site where peopleof like mind canbe supportive of each other!
The top ten things that my Internet lifestyle represetns to me are:
1. The ability to work for myself, and never answer to another person’s vision again.
2. The ability to work my own days/hours.
3. The ability to bring in a substantial income while following my true path in a very esoteric world.
4. The ability to help other people envision and enact a healthy, supportive lifestyle for themselves.
5. The ability to own my own home, the car of my dreams, and to support my chosen lifestyle in my own manner.
6. The ability to dress as I please … which in my case, means dress up!
7. The ability to have a second home for “away times”.
8. The ability to take classes whenever, wherever I want to.
9. The ability to support causes of my choice … local and global.
10. The ability to network and gain the respect of people in my chosen field, even though we live continents apart.
Here’s to the Internet lifestyle!
Blessings,
Bonnie

Hey Yanik,
For someone like me who’s in the process of getting there, the internet lifestyle is only a dream. I know i’ll get there, but until then, it’s awesome to see someone like yourself already living it. It just reinforces my belief that it’s very possible, and people like you inspire me.

Hi Yanik;
To be able to travel on the slightest whim.
Fly by private aircraft to see my son and his Family in New Zealand
as and when I wanted.
Working with who you want helping others to achieve.
Enjoying time with the children in our family, work always seems
gets in my way.
Flying all types of aircraft from a helicopter to a jet just for the
hell of it.
Driving around for leisure in a Maserati saloon.
Driving a top of the range Lexus sports during short work periods
in a climate that was along with the best of roads, always suitable.
Never being short of a cash flow.
Having a comfortable home where home maintenance and house work
miraculously did its self.
Doing work I love, making and creating films.
With of course, all of those we love.

Yanik,
I remember when you first “showed up” online. I may even have a very early email from you. Anyhow, I KNEW you were going to succeed because of your background.
It seems so long ago, right? One thing I have come to appreciate from my Internet LIFESTYLE is, I don’t have to be as visible or vocal as I was in the early days.
I’ve learned, perhaps the hard way, to Fly Low and Collect the Dough. NOTHING compares to the Internet when it comes to “under the radar” cash flow. I think a couple of people, a Frank comes to mind, learned that lesson too.
Anyone can be as seen as they want to be on the Internet, and somedays I wish some people wouldn’t be as visible as they are…HA!…but anyone can do their thing online and get whatever results they want.
It’s been FUN watching you “take over” the Net. Keep it going.
Gordon Jay Alexander
PS. I’m too 5′8″ and in my prime had a standing 23″ vertical…you got that beat? If so, I want you on MY team.

I am beyond frustrated with having to go to my dreaded day job every day and answering to 6 bosses all day long and all the other b.s. associated with it and I’m tired of having to ask to go to the restroom and making sure I have back up phone coverage when I step away and having to go to lunch when they tell me I can go (what if I don’t want to go when they tell me to go?) I’m also tired of having to wake up to an alarm clock and getting dressed up to go somewhere I don’t even want to go to and fight traffic and waste money on gas driving 2 hours a day (to and from) and then working 8 – 10 hours at something I deplore. I’m 46 years old and I can’t just change jobs because I’ll more than likely get the same thing or worse, so that’s not even an option. All I’m looking to do is just REPLACE my current income (which isn’t much) so I can stay home and do what I really want to do which is work online. I have been trying for over 3 years and have spend so much money and have nothing to show except being maxxed out and broke. My computer crashed a few months ago and lost track of purchases I made to help to start making money online and now starting over and something has got to change! I want to quit my job NOW so I can focus entirely on making money from home, but how can I do that if I have to constantly be at my job? And then when I finally get home, I have to tend to kids, elderly parents, household chores, errands, etc. and so exhausted by the time I sit at my computer that I nod off right away. My dream lifestyle is just a simple lifestyle where I can get up when I feel like it (I am morning person and love to watch the sun rise) get my coffee and work from my computer and having the freedom on pursing what I want to do. I don’t want to be a tycoon or a guru, all I want is to have income from home. I want to have my own house instead of renting an apartment and spending quality time with my family before it’s too late and then regret it. Working for myself is my passion and is all that’s on my mind and I have got to find a way so I can live my dream life as soon as possible while I’m still able to enjoy it.

Greetings Yanik!
Well now, I’m VERY much in the VERY beginning stages of developing an “internet lifestyle”. Right now my “style” consists only of working hard, thinking profoundly (grin!), and getting some of my stuff online.
Eventually I would like it to be something along these lines:
1. Having people think: “Bugger! If I do exactly what Jaap does, I’ll be BIG”!
2. My wife Caroline waking me in the morning with coffee, orange juice and lots of love, instead of her hollering: “Wakeup, you lazy so-and-so! Get cracking”!
3. Being able to take Caroline back to the pyramids of Egypt, where we once spent one of our very best vacations.
4. Giving my sister Nelleke (who has been severely handicapped for more than 3 decades) enough money to buy all the carriages she needs/wants/covets.
5. Being able to cheerfully say “Get lost!” to those I don’t like, and even cheerfuller “Sure, no problem” to those I do like.
6. Be myself (one shudders at the thought – grin)!
7. Generously shoving dough to worthy benefits without having to think “Oh dear! Am I not an even MORE deserving benefit myself?”
8. To sleep, perchance to dream.
9. Prevent my old cottage from coming apart at all its many seams.
10. Not having to read, or contribute to, these blogs anymore.
Be well!
Jaap Verduijn.

Hi Yanik,
I first became interested in internet marketing after I met you at a Dan Kennedy seminar back in 2001.
After investing in your Instant Internet Profits course, I started my very first website at http://www.GetMoldSolutions.com.
I can still remember how excited I was when I made that very first sale for $39.95.
It was amazing to think that someone would come to my website, read words I had written, and those words would cause them to pull out their credit card and spend money, without ever having met me.
Talk about exciting.
And that first sale gave me some SERIOUS confidence. I knew that I could get many more people to invest in the products and services I had to offer.
Since then, my internet marketing has made me so much money, that I sold my offline business (a cleaning and restoration company) on April 19, 2004, and essentially retired from manual labor forever.
My internet endeavors now allow me to live the kind of lifestyle I’ve always wanted.
I work the hours I choose.
I take time off when I want.
I get to travel and spend time with good friends and business associates. In fact, my wife Lisa and I just returned home from a week in Maui, where we had been invited to spend some time with some incredible people like Joe Sugarman, Bill Phillips, Tim Ferriss to name a few.
I bought my dream vehicle (a new Hummer) on November 11th of last year.
As I write this, we’re getting ready to close the sale on our brand new home, and will be moving in on August 8th. This alone is an incredible story in itself.
I don’t know if you even remember that conversation you and I had at the Dan Kennedy event back in 2001. It seems like eons ago.
But… it was that conversation that led to the life that my family and I get to live today, and I sincerely thank you for that.
Congratulations on the addition to your family, and thanks for being such an inspiration to so many of us.

Congratulations on Your new little Zoe, They are both beautiful babies and I know you have to be very proud parents. I don’t have my internet lifestyle going yet, but I’m working on it. My goals are to be debt free, have some extra to help my kids and my best friend, buy another house, a special car, donate to several charities, and of course all the other benefits such as the freedom, and it has been years since I’ve been on a vacation. That would be nice. A fine motor home to go to some of the beautiful areas this fantastic has to offer. And as I said I’m working on it. Love your blog and will be back often. Carole

Lifestyle for me is to be able to provide for my family. My mom and grandmother.
Grandmother is ill. Needs TLC full time and my online business gives me that. Just having her close to me while I work or while I don’t work, makes me happy.
Mom loves to play bingo and casinos so my online internet lifestyle affords me to take her yearly to a casino without watching our pockets.
And for me?
Time freedom, money freedom, health freedom. FREEEDOOMMM!

So you see… i believe everything works if we dedicate less Hardwork but more Intelligent work to it.

I am all for making big bucks on the internet. I certainly expect to do that in the very near future. I am almost there. I believe money is a resource. And we are free to use it as we want. However, the bulk of any sizeable amount of money one has, no matter where they made it, should be used to make the world we live in, a better place.
My goal is to set up a scholarship foundation to help deserving young Americans without the money to attend college and get the education they need to help improve the world. I don’t mean a few people. I mean a large, viable organization which can have a meaningful effect. Not just one or two scholarships but many scholarships every year. This is not some philanthropic fantasy to satisfy me. All people of means have a responsibility to help solve some of the many severe problems the world faces. Just look around.

Yes, leading a self directed lifestyle is my Big Idea and I am working steps every day to make that a realityl
Yes, having a book to sell is not enough and….
yes, even if you have great product to help small business if you don’t know how to get the message out it won’t sell!
I just started your systems and I am looking forward to learning how to create a great sales letter.
That will take me so much closer to the self-directed life so I can book speaking engagements and write articles, books and have business strategy clients at my schedule instead of a 40+++ hour a week high pressure career in finance and accounting!
I do have a motto: Success is not something we achieve, Success is something with live – see it in my book “A Woman’s Ladder to Success” on Amazon or http://www.writebookstoday.com if anyone wants to help me get to my goal sooner!

I’ve been in various stages of the Internet Lifestyle since ‘99…which is when I started doing this ‘internet’ thing full time.
Right now I’m focused on moving away from affiliate marketing and developing more of my own products/services. Also looking to increase the price I charge for consulting so I can keep a few direct clients and focus on increasing the number of people I help (by way of my products/services).
I’ve lived on the beach while doing this, I’ve been the only Dad at this or that, taken time off whenever I needed to, and it IS awesome! I’ll never go back to a day job. I’m hooked and I encourage other people to ‘focus’ and complete one thing, pick something to be good at and do it. Action action action. Don’t stop and study things for years…be willing to make mistakes and TAKE action. Learn as you go.
Best of luck (cha like you need it) with your blog Yanik.
Take care and have a great rest of the week…

Hi there, firstly Yanik congratulations to you and your wife on your new addition to the family I am sure the baby will bring you much joy and happiness as my 3.5 year old son brings me (when he is not driving me nuts).
My husband and I are both entrepreneurs purely for lifestyle choice. For the last 20 years I have worked in the corporate world mainly in communications, marketing and graphic design. After having a child 3.5 years ago I decided I wanted to be my own boss.
12mths later I now have 4 online businesses some of which are mine and some of which I share with my husband who also runs 3 other businesses himself.
The internet has allowed us the following lifestyle and we would not change it for the world.
- we get to spend as much quality time with each other as a family
- my husband has a very strong bond with his son because at any time of the day he can spend time with him (not when a boss lets him come home from the office)
- we live amongst the rich and famous in a beautiful suburb in Sydney Australia called Balmoral Beach
-we own our own home – not my dream home – but we are working towards having that in 2008
- we live by the beach and spend everyday enjoying life which means enjoying walks along the beach, bottle of wine with friends watching the sun set and a healthy and relaxed lifestyle
- My husband and his business partner, who lives down the street, get to have their business meeting every day at the beach in their shorts and t-shirt with a pad, pen and cup of coffee – in summer they usually finish off with a swim before going back home for breakfast and some laptop time
– Me, well I come and go as I please, working on projects that are my passion and the hours I choose to work
- My son has me on hand when he needs me and even though he goes to play group 2 times a week he would rather be at home with his family because life for us is so much fun
So all I can say is my ‘internet lifestyle’ gives me ‘quality of life’ and to me that is what is important.
I still have so much to learn as I have only been doing this solidly now for 6mths and boy I have learnt alot in that short period of time. My thirst for knowledge keeps me wanting to learn more which is why I am about to launch my 4th online business.
As a mother I want what is best for my son and I believe the future for our children will be as entrepreneurs. I want to help my son be able to follow his dreams, passions and skills just like his mother and father are following theirs.
This to me is internet lifestyle.
My goal is to now teach other mothers to live their dreams using the internet and their own passions so they too can have their own internet lifestyle. Wish me luck!

===> First Post From Morocco!
July 21st, 2007 at 5:13 pm
It all started at My Gym.
I used to work freelance in LA and thought it was great till I had kids and realized I was never home even though I didn’t have a job.. yeah Right…
Why this matters is one day I realized that I was missing opportunities to enjoy the kids growing up while at my son’s My Gym class (also the only dad). So my wife and I decided to move out of the hustle and start something new.
If I knew then what I know now we wouldn’t have opened our own My Gym. It’s a great company but we opened a job and not a lifestyle.
Recently I’ve been researching online marketing and even went to the recent JV Alert in Philly. All I can say is WOW!!!
So now the irony, My Gym takes away my time to enjoy my kids growing up like I envisioned on that fatefull day.
I’m looking to get started in the online world and realize for myself the internet lifestyle you and so may others enjoy.
Someday soon we can be teammates at the beach or sitting across from each other at the red circle once my internet lifestyle kicks in.
July 21st, 2007 at 5:50 pm
Congrats Yanik!
I’ve been following you for a couple of years now, and have only recently been able to start integrating your concepts and products into an all- inclusive web site, http://www.empoweredlifepartners.com. Although still in the rough stages of completion, it will encompass many, many of the principles and techniques you (and now Jim Edwards) use and promote. Your “Internet Lifestyle” concepts and my “Empowered Lifestyle” basics are truly close relatives, if not in content, at least in potential results. It’s taken some time for it to evolve, (the latest development being the integration and use of mini-site/niche promotion to come in through the back door to the primary web site), but the foundation and structure are finally set.
I think for all of us, at least on one level, the power of the Internet Lifestyle is ultimately defined by the word FREEDOM. On a another level, however, at least for me, that power is related more to the ability of a single individual to positively and materially affect the lives of countless others in a way reserved for only a select few not too many years ago. In this light, I would like to submit my list of key advantages of the Internet Lifestyle:
- The ability to reach out to those in need, to those who hunger for liberation and control in their own lives.
- The ability to reach out and touch the lives of thousands, tens of thousands of individuals who seek the balance and peace that has so often eluded them in their isolation.
- The ability to offer customers and clients a range of guidance options, not only regarding the subject matter of various life areas, but options of the depth of that guidance as well.
- The ability to offer customers and clients, no matter where they are, INSTANT ACCESS to your products and services.
- The ability to create, promote, and market “virtual tangibles” (talk about a contradiction in terms) within time frames that were unthinkable twenty five years ago when I wrote and self-published my first books.
- The ability to initiate, complete, ship, and BANK individual transactions within minutes – hundreds (thousands?) of times a day.
- The ability to house your entire inventory, shipping department, accounting department, marketing department, and sales function on a single desk, or disk, or hard drive, or thumb drive, or some other portable place of business – again, with instant access and integration.
- The ability to connect and communicate, in real time, with hundreds (thousands?) of customers and/or potential customers AT THE SAME TIME via printed word, audio, or video.
- The ability to achieve pinpoint target marketing with a size and accuracy only dreamed of ten short years ago.
And finally, and the real cherry on the top of the Internet Lifestyle…
- The ability to grow your customer base and repeat business larger, faster, and infinitely cheaper than ever before in the history of the world.
As I read over the above Internet Lifestyle advantages, it occured to me that maybe I should have entitled them “Internet Business Style” advantages. But then, if you truly achieve one, you’ve achieved the other! Since the beginning of civilization most people have looked longingly at the roses of life, but had little or no time to stop and enjoy them. The Internet Lifestyle has finally given us that precious gift and we will be changed forever.

Hey Yanik,
Great new site and great thread.
I was a trainer and consultant before getting into Internet Marketing, and although I was doing well financially, I think the biggest benefit of getting into the Internet Lifestyle is the ability to get control of your time back.
Like you, I enjoy bringing my 14 month old daughter, Bianca, to playschool twice a week in the mornings, and I get a real kick at the beginning of the class when the playschool teacher says “Ok, everyone let’s all say hello to all the mommies here!…Let’s all say hello to the daddy here!”
It’s quite a trip to have the teacher and moms come up to me after the class and say “I wish my partner could come here EVERY session like you”
…Well, the secret is they can, can’t they?
Thanks to the ability to the Internet and more importantly, the 5 pound money making machine that lies in between your ears.
My first month in Intenet Marketing, I was making 4 figures already, and most people would say that investment bankers and management consultants are making that same amount of coin too.
But what most people don’t realize is that we’re making that same amount, but only working a couple of hours a week if we choose to.
I think Tim Ferris’ “4 Hour Workweek” encapsulates this well, that if you’re working 4 hours a week and the i-banker is working 60 hours a week, and you’re both earning the same amount, in real terms, you’re earning 15 times as much as the bankers on a per hour basis.
Another thing I like about the Internet lifestyle is that I can follow my “passion projects”. I’m in the midst of creating a “Harry Potter niche product” as you’re devoring your copy of the Deathly Hollows, and I already know it’ll take me about 12 hours to put it together, and I’ll see a 4-figure payday within 24 hours of launching it into the market.
I’ve already done it with the Apple iPhone launch, it’s a successful model, so I’m merely going to keep “rinsing and repeating”.
-
The biggest thrill and kick out of the ULTIMATE Internet Lifestyle has to be setting up your campaigns, going to bed and waking up to see a nice huge balance in your merchant account or paypal account.
If you have a naysayer among your friends and family, you just need to login and show them your balance, and as they ask “Gee, it must’ve taken you some time to generate that. You mean you’ve never withdrawn anything?”
“Not really. I made that in 12 hours”.
Seeing their jaw drop and slapping themselves on the forehead: PRICELESS
For everything else, there is the Black AmEX.
Heh.

Hi Yanik, Fantastic idea!
My Internet lifestyle gives me the freedom to follow the weather. My wife, Joanna, and I spend summers in New Zealand and winters in Queensland, Australia.
Right now I’m on vacation in tropical Port Douglas in Queensland’s far north, avoiding a nasty spell of weather further south.

Dear Yanik,
What you have done in the Internet Lifestyle web sites means A LOT to my life!
It is because I truely believe we entreprenuer have to reward ourselves so big for overcoming all past challenges and setback when we make our ways to the extraordinary success.
As Anthony Robbins said, not only motivate ourselves, we also need to ‘condition’ ourselves by positive reinforcement in order to maintain our CONTINOUS success.
I choose ‘marketing’ or particular in ‘internet marketing’ is ONLY because of the extraordinary lifestyle I can enjoy. Whereas I cannot find this luxury at another business.
Yesterday, I travelled to China and have a massage for 90 minutes. After that, I have a nice lunch with my buddy in the massage centre. They have FREE internet cafe for client to surf at any time. So I checked my emails and get the lastest marketing tips from the masters like you via my gmail account. Of course, I reviewed my web site traffic and the new opt-in volume at Google Analytics account and Aweber too.
Now I can develop my online for business at any place with the internet connection. The nice thing is….I did not even bring my laptop with me when I was in the massage centre.
Let’s mastermind more ideas on Internet Lifestyle.
Thanks so much for making this web site for us to share our thoughts.
To your gigantic online success
Frank

I love it all brother and couldn’t agree more.. Can’t believe it was over 4 years ago I met you at that seminar Cincinnati. Now if you would just hook up that microphone I sold you back then, you could make this a podcast and if you get that camcorder going and call me, I tell what to do to make this a video blog without using You Tube everytime..
Regardless, congrats on the kids, enjoy them young cause I missed mine at that age cause of a J-O-B, but hey it’s never too late. I just got back from taking my 20 year old wake skating here at the lake.. All possible from what I have learned all you whipper snappers like you, Jim Edwards, A Morin and the likes.. God bless. I love that the Internet Lifestyle is so free and inspiring. I do a lot of one on one personal growth work with people and so having other sources of income helps free me to do what I love which includes working with non-profits.
Network marketing is emerging as one of the most ethical, accessible and mutually rewarding types of business and I’m proud to be associated with two organizations that truly live that. So it’s not just about financial freedom – it’s also about making a difference in many people’s lives.
I recently started with ‘The Women’s Millionaire network’ project: http://www.womensmillionairenet.com/flower which is a group of dynamic visionary women collaborating to harness the power of network marketing to benefit the world.
It’s been so exciting. We’re supporting many wonderful charities, foundations and worthy causes as well as freeing ourselves in our own lives financially to do the work we’re truly here to do – working to create a better world.

Hey Yanik,
Long time no chat! When you and I first crossed paths on the Internet I was a struggling “Dumb Ole Dirt Farmer” trying to make my way in cyberspace. But you were kind enough to invite me (and a few hundred other people) to your 30th Birthday Bash. It was a great event! Remember the high speed presentation the late Corey Rudl gave?
Of course I learned a lot, but just one comment that one of the other attendees made at the Red Ticket dinner sent me home thinking and kept up at night for a few days.
Today when I add 350 new subscribers to my mailing list in one day, I often think about the comment that allowed me to do that.
But anyway, my Internet lifestyle is amazing, and every once in a while something stops me in my tracks and makes me think back to how my life used to be. The other day while at Walmart, yes Walmart, everybody shops at Walmart, I picked up three packages of AAA batteries and briefly thought about what a decision it used to be to buy just one pack because I just couldn’t spare the $5.00.
I’m getting ready to add some travel pages to one of my websites and to think about all of the things that Pam and I have been able to do and see since I attended your birthday bash is absolutely amazing.
At the time I attended with a good friend of mine, also a struggling Internet marketer at the time, and just a few weeks ago he and I had dinner. At dinner he talked about the house he wanted to buy or build, and he said; “I don’t want anything too elaborate, but it will have a bowling alley. They only cost about $80,000 to $125,000 and it’s just something that I want in my house.
Yes, since your birthday bash his business has also gone incredibly successful.
The Internet lifestyle. People that I know really, really well still don’t understand what I do. I recently published my second hard copy gardening book and people think that’s the greatest thing ever. Those stupid books cost me more than the product I sell for $300 and I’m lucky to get 20 bucks for a book.
When I walk past that stack of Priority Mail Boxes stacked up by the front door waiting for the mailman to pick them up sometimes I just stop and stare. Asking myself if this is real?
There was a time, not all that long ago, that I would come to your house and wheelbarrow dirt around your house for two days straight to earn $300. Now I toss $4.00 worth of dvds into a box to make the same kind of money.
I’ve got a message for anybody that reads this: One sentence can change your life forever if you simply apply what is suggested.
At your birthday dinner I got to sit at the same table with John Reese (before his one million dollar day), Tom Antion, and Margie Garrison. How cool is that?
Yanik, thanks for inviting me!

Wow! Reading the postings from this blog have really inspired and motivated me, and at a PERFECT time. About a year ago I made the leap from a high-stress, low-pay job to self-employment (training, personal development and publishing) and in the first six months of 2007 I made close to what I made in an entire year as a beleagured employee. But to some degree I “bought a job” when I set up one of the business ventures, and the structure limits both my control over business decisions and the ultimate income. So I’ve been studying like a mad woman to learn more about selling information and doing profitable blogs on the internet. The examples I’ve read on this blog have really inpsired me.
In the 60s and 70s I was one of the nation’s first female mountain climbing instructors for Outward Bound and National Outdoor Leadership School and in the 80s I was one of the nation’s first female Fire Captians so I know a lot about accessing personal courage to achieve challenging goals. I’d like to do a blog something like the Personal Development for Smart People blog but with my own unique twist.
I know that it is extremely difficult to set up interactive sections with getting spammed to death, but I’d like to see something like the following on this blog, to help people like me who are just starting out:
1) Where some of the people with inspiring examples could offer to post articles on other sites/blogs, or people doing a blog could ask for experts to submit possible articles on fitness, building a blog, relationships, etc,
2) Where I could look up the sites of people who respond to your blog and I say “Wow, I want to be like that person!” (Even if I had to pay a membership fee to access that contact info…maybe the membership fees could pay for a staffer to screen out blatant spamming.)
3) Discussion about different forms of training about the internet and ratings on effectiveness, up-to-date materials, costs, etc.
4) Perhaps a membership site where experienced people could read a post from an inexperienced perosn and offer to share some knowledge and experience, either for free or for a fee.
Just my two cents, and I will look forward to reading this blog every day!

Hi Yanik,
The thing I love best about the Internet life has not happened for me yet, but It will. A few years back I became ill and expereinced some disability. I am not able to hold any job, so I took advantage or all that the system in the US has to offer.
I found my way through the maze, found computer schooling, produced a business plan, working on line with the Small Business Association, which won me some $2000 worth of computer equipment and I was on my way.
Somehow, the maze was not so easy this time around. But I am a Pit Bull when I know there is something out there I can have if only I try hard enough.
With a small investment and a willing partner, we were bound to make it this time. After losing $7000 in the attempt to capture the illusive prize of money on the internet, it all came to a screeching halt as our money ran out.
I am not crying in my beer about trying and it not happening. In one year I wrote one small booklet for the ladies. A love story, kind of fantacy which combines a farytale type story whti 11 love poems from the guy to his lady through out a lifetime, and a message to all in this crazy society we live in. I also happened to complete two full length novels on love and war.
Nothing happened again after two years of endless trying to find an agent among what I call the good old boys and girls. This is one tough nut to creak. Agents tell me I am a good storyteller and writer, but the books need editing. So who the hell can afford a professional editor, or any of the marketing needed?
All the while, everyone I know tells me that there is no money to be made on the internet. I tell them all where they can stuff it, and I know there is lots of money to be made, and that I am going to find it.
Not being able to work, I can count my blessings anyway. My meds are paid for, and my rent and food money are provided by the government.
Not very much mind you, but enough for survival. Who the hell would I be to complain? I can spend as much time as I want on the Internet. That’s much more than a lot of people have going for them.
I have a small circle of e-mail friends, and I research how to make money, cure illness, and be a know it all in any subject I wish in only minutes, from the most wonderful money making tool given to man by God, (The Internet). I am now a student of AWAI, and though I can’t buy most of the accelerating stuff. I intend to have it all in time. I pay for it out of my Social Security check.
Then in a flash, Yanic Silver comes along and is my isntant hero. Whenever any of my friends happens to ask how I am doing on the internet goldmine, and snickers, I just guide them to any of your websites and tell them that my internet friend made $2.7million last year on the internet, and that he is teaching me how to do it a little at a time. Then I ask them where they will be in two years, and snicker. And one day soon I will be making money too. I will have the last laugh.
Then when I learn enough, I will teach it to others in my shoes. First we learn, then we teach.
Yanic, you are such an inspriation to me. It’s like finding fresh air to breath when you live in a sewer. I read you every day and smile. I actually wait for your e-mails.
If I could buy every damn thing you produce I would do it. It’s all so worthwhile.
I spend hours each day on the computer and in the wonderful world of the Internet.
I have just bought your 33days to internet profits. I love it, however I find that even though you keep your promise of leading us by the hand. I am limited again by what I call my Italian disease. FUNZALO, pronounced (funds are low). That and the fact that I am healing up from something that has kept me very weak and unable to hit the web for a week now. It’s all over and I am back with a vengence.
I feel like I really know you, and we are truly friends. I hope this is the first of many times we will speak.
Maybe I watch this new website concept, and will be able to do it too, soon.
Best wishes to you and the family,
your friend,
Nick Merolesi

A few days ago I have been involved in a consulting pitch. The company is good and in need of serious marketing rehaul. It’s a 1-2 months project and I guess at least 50,000 euros of revenues.
I was bored to death. All those execs in their suits, endless talking, that meeting and all those future meetings, the consulting thing, the future invoiced payments always too late. OMG how people can really think work has to be like that.
Compare this to “Marco you’ve got a new order” that I get in the email 1-2 times a day.
You can’t compare. There is simply not competition.
That’s the power of the Internet LifeStyle. That’s what I love. My only problem is to drill MORE Internet Oil Wells!

Hi Yanik!
I appreciate all your emails and insight and wish you all the very best with this new domain.
My singular answer to the question ‘What Is My Internet Lifestyle?’ is:
FREEDOM!
Not just any old Freedom though, like your usual financial freedom, but a Freedom of the ontological, even metaphysical kind.
I have been living by the Freedom Technology of “P.T.” since pre-Internet days. The World Wide Web of today merely represents greater leverage to those of us not only seeking *personal* Freedom, but an embedding of the Creed, or meme of Freedom into the very fabric of Civilization.
We may come to see this work, this Internet – Freedom – Lifestyle, as the critical tipping point in our species survival.

Hey yanik,
great concept for this website.
The Internet Lifestyle is definitely something very unique.
Heres an example..
i woke up today about midday (after a fun weekend), picked my
friend / employee up and went up to a car dealer to secure
my new baby, Porsche 911 turbo.
About 2 o clock stopped on the way back and had a few fresh
sandwiches made up. Arrived back at my place about 2.30,
made a cup of Cappachino and sat on my baloncy which is
right beside the sea, preparing for “work”
3 o clock, on to the computer. Look at my whiteboard for
what I have to do. Delegate stuff to my Stuart ie: place
advertising here, check on customers order.
I scan through my email, answer the important ones right
away. The settle down and start working on new content
for my next project.
the *BEST* thing about the Internet lifestyle is flexibilty.
I plan to go to the gym later but if its 6pm or 7 it doesnt matter, just whenever I get my work done or when I feel like it.
It’s also great to do things for other people. My parents loved my new gas BBQ but thought it was a luxury they couldn;t afford.
So I got one sent to their house and they were delighted. It doesn’t really cost me much but to them its something they really enjoy.
other things I love are being able to look at a holiday without caring about the price. One I recently looked at was around $20k for a the week. As long as my businesses are growing and making money it doesnt bother me at all.
Good luck with this website – will be interesting to hear other peoples stories

Hi Yanik, Thanks for starting this. What instant inspiration! I’m still at the Brain Stuffing Stage, trying to get all the essential tools mastered, but the income is beginning to trickle.
You give me hope and guidance and a heads up on cutting edge practical techniques. And this blog is great. We can see a variety of people in the different stages of success.
I’ll be back!

Hi Yanik, I receive & read all yr mail. Thanks, I think it could work for me if only I would put yr advice into practice. I want to enjoy the lifestyle that internet life can give. And that would mean for me: Having a beautifull home by the sea ( maybe the french reviera), massage every day, taking beauty to greater lengths with latest technology, being able to expose the children to what is available to enhance their talents, open up awareness centres all over the world teaching people how to stay or become healthy the natural way free from conventional medications, i would go bunjee jumping, have a butler & a cheff cooking organic healthy meals all day, have time to read more, having a business that works for me instead of me working for the business, I would leave my husband & start having fun, being able to travel to different countries together with my children……:-)

I like the idea for your new blog – very cool!
Basically, I want to be able to work anywhere in the world – within reason of course – and earn enough money that I can do what I want, when I want, without worrying about the cost.
For instance, I’m currently on a tropical isle and I can hear the pounding surf and see the ocean from my apartment. It’s wonderful and sure beats the hustle and bustle of London where I’m presently based.
Best of luck to everyone in generating their ideal Internet lifestyle!

Yanik,
How wonderful it sounds to be successful. especially at so young an age. I am not, so all I can talk about is what I intend to do once I begin to live a successful internet life.
First I will be able to tell my husband, yah ha, ha, ha. He still has no confidence in my doing anything but waste my time. It’s my time and that’s all I have at this time. George retired in Nov.,2006 and has turned into a chair potatoe.
I found I had diabetes II last year, already obese. Then this spring found I have congestive heart failure. Have to have oxygen follow me
around 24/7. I use a motorized wheel chair, and a walker, and lets not even talk about medications.
I started on the internet in September, 2006, and not found success yet. So far I’ve earned $8.00. So, I have plenty of time to be persistent.
And that’s what I intend to be, is persistent. I think it’s truly wonderful to see there are so many already making it.
So I intend to live as free as I am allowed at this time. My children are kind of scattered. I would love to go to just outside Mobile, Al. to see my
daughter and only grandchild, Michael. One son lives close to Nashville, TN. and two more sons in Rochester, NY. My husband and I live in a Little town, named Shortsville, almost on the Finger Lakes in western New York, outside Rochester. I personally would like to have a cook and driver. My husband is wonderful and takes care of me and everything else, but I am
afraid of breaking down his health. So it would be heaven for us to just enjoy each other and whatever.
God bless you all. That you will contiune to have success. To those like me, keep looking and being persistent. There are way to many out their successful and I believe I am as capable as anyone else to succeed.

Hi Yanik,
I have been receiving emails from you for well over 4 years now. You obviously do not keep a check on who does or doesnot subscribe and or buy your programs etc. Well, I have never bought anything from you. I keep telling myself why dont I unsubscribe? The truth is, after all the MLM hype and the way most of us “newbies” got caught in the merry go round of false promises and totally underhand tactics by the many so called “gurus” of the Internet, I promised myself I would not make the same mistake again. Yet, I keep reading yours and many of the others weekly if not daily feed of the same or similar pile of mostly unworkable and over prententious programs that seem to be promoted by everyone at the same time. Who are we kidding here? You all seem to forget it is ok to promote an expensive new tools and new add ons to tweak this or that business one has been running (mostly unsuccesfully) for some time. But how about a really “cheap” starter kit for newbies with full coaching support to get them establish a footing in this saturated world of marketing? It will be then, when hopefully they can afford it, that you should expect your “pupils” to want to climb up the next step of the ladder by offering them the follow up tools and the likes? But why should you and the others bother when you are suppossed to have an established business/es and just need keep “plugging” this and that as
things develop? Basically, all the stuff you write to me about is of not use. I havent any online business, a website or list. So are you wasting your time? I would say you are, but then, I keep reading your messages dont I? Well, I keep thinking that one day, someone will perhaps be able to offer that genuine and long awaited “breakthrough” I, and surely many others are looking for?. I have read and keep reading hundred of offers but what I and surely lots of others need is less video clips and boring conversational jargons and more of an easy to follow and understand first step to this business ladder. Am I kidding myself or what?
Regards
Tony

This is Othmane from Morocco, I would like to thank you for giving me all the knowledge, motivation, excitement needed to start my mini-internet based information businesse, right here from Morocco.. I am not yet making enough to make my living, but I know I’ll do it!

I loved reading all the others stories and what a great idea doing this relating to our lifestyles and other secrets! As a beginner my lifestyle wouldn’t be anthing anyone else would desire but my minds tells me that I can desire and as Yanik said it’s more than desire and hope so I meditate on that as often as I can. I even treat myself and spend sometime on line house hunting and looking at houses for sale with my husband when we find the time. About thankfullness I am even thankful that I can look forward to the future filled with the fulfillment of my dreams it does make me very happy. Success together, Gwendoline

Great insights Yanik – agree with everything you wrote – especially the balance of expectancy with cheerfulness and understanding the “giving” principle. Honestly, this is one I constantly have to remind myself about – sometimes it gets lost in the day-to-day craziness.
One thing you didn’t mention that seems to be at the root of all entrepreneurs and successful people…is a dissatisfaction with their current situation.
So many people roll over and play dead when they hit adversity – others continue to drive forward, never satisfied with where they are. For many entrepreneurs sometimes it’s hard to tell if this is a gift or a curse, but nevertheless, it’s often at the root of action, drive, persistance and success.

I’m still learning the ropes of making money online, but I can’t wait for the day when I’m interrupted by my wife or children while I’m at work. I’m ready to break free of the shackles.
Jeff, I’m with you. I think too many people are comfortable with where they are and just don’t want to take the steps necessary to improve their lives for themselves and their families.
I’m driving myself for a better life. I can’t wait to see the results as they come in.

I want to keep this initial thread going
on and on with more and more people
posting about their own ideal Internet Lifestyle…
A couple follow-ups:
Kevin Simms – great to hear how you’re doing.
It’s encouraging for others to hear ‘real-life’ stories
and hopefully more successes will post here to prove
it really is possible.
Ralph Zuranski – One of the nicest and most sincere
guys out there! And you’re right even in dark moments
like caring for your parents through severe illness -
having your income online means you don’t have to be
away from them.
GrumpyOldChef – No I won’t tell you work harder.
But I will ask you to examine what you are selling.
I’ll probably post about this at some point. But
I think a lot of people get it wrong by trying to
sell oversaturated products. I’d rather see you work
12 hours/day (if you need to at first) on your product
then you have 100% control, income, etc.
Franck – about the 1 or 2 beers at lunch – it’s not everyday
and sometimes it’s a glass of wine
I just like that feeling that you don’t have to worry
about it. If I have a nice piece of tuna and a pinot noir
will be the perfect compliment – I want to drink a glass
instead of worrying about my boss or co-workers
Gordon Jay Alexander – Great to see you here!
Hmm…don’t remember my vertical at my prime but yours
sounds pretty darn impressive. I don’t think I was quite
up there.
Cindy Carraway – A lot of times are biggest positive changes
come from extreme frustration. I know a lot of people are
sick and tired of their regular grind. But let that be
motivation for you to work during your off hours on
creating an asset that will keep paying you back. You can
start small like so many other people I’ve helped.
Kevin Thompson – not sure if I remember the exact conversation
but I do remember talking to you there and then hearing
your mold removal site. Just proves you can sell almost anything
online
Roberto – Enjoy that first sale! I still remember my very first
sale and the customer (R.K. in New York). It’s an incredible
feeling and use that same feeling of “It’s working” to reach higher.
Allan Gardyne – that’s a perfect definition. “Follow the Sun”
It’s so inspiring to see everyone on here and how the Internet has
contributing in big ways to the freedom we are all looking for!

Hi Yanik. My internet lifestyle is as a writer for musicians doing bios and articles for them online, and I’m a golf writer who’s going to start Putting
workshops for golfers. These are my two main blogs and I have a nutrition
and sports blog as well.
I have yet to make money, but as long as I love what I’m doing, I know the money will come for me with the internet lifestyle. Like Eben Pagan says; keeping Pushing the free line before and after you start making money.
Thanks Yanik for all the helpful tips.

Dear Everyone,
Wow, talk about inspiring! I live in London Ontario Canada, and would love to have any of you come my way to do a seminar or two for budding entrepeneurs. I have spent 12 years in the military, turning 36 now, finishing up an accounting diploma this April, and found out my wife, stepson, daughter and I are pregnant with another lil bundle of joy. Despite the stresses of having to look for work soon, exams, kids etc., I am always thinking of that online business idea (or two). I was initially going to start selling eco-friendly comfy clothes with my own brand, but, after reading here I believe selling my new found skills, and some old ones would pay off a lot more! (Less overhead to boot!)
Anyways, thanks for the inspirations all.

I just discovered your site through an article I found on Entrepreneur.com. I also enjoy some of the benefits articulated above since I work for a virtual company from home. I look forward to gleaning inspiration to build something beneficial online as you have done. Former Big Wave Surfer originally from San Clemente, a bit south of Manhattan Beach. Now residing in Lookout Mountain, Ga., nice place to call home. My next challenge will by Kayaking the Ocoee river for kicks & giggles.
Look forward to becoming familiar with your site.

I get my son off to school then swing over to Starbucks to get my iced tea. Once I get back home I grab the lap top and work for a few hours on articles and research. Once my little guy is done with school we hit the park, lunch, mall, even an afternoon at Magic Mountain since we live less than 10 miles away from there. I couldn’t ask for a better internet lifestyle.

Creating a successful online businesses is something that has obsessed me, inspired me, exhausted me and damn near killed me! The truth is there is no better communication tool in the world than the internet and no cheaper way of creating something out of nothing. It is a satisfying thing having your own piece of cyber real estate that can help you get out of the 9 – 5 rat race and live your dreams!
