Maverick Manifesto video

What started off as a quick 15-minute Saturday project turned into a 1 hr+ of new material on how to make more, have more fun and give more back! I asked you guys a few days ago for questions and some of the answers were quite eye-opening in each of the 3 areas.

With the elections going on in the U.S. tomorrow – the big idea behind the Maverick Manifesto is FREEDOM!

Freedom to write your own ticket regardless of what’s going on with the crazy economy, the next person in the White House or any external factor!

Here are a few things I covered:

  • How to truly really create a Work/Life balance that actually works!
  • Figuring out the right questions to ask so you get back the answers you need.
  • What you really need to know in order to work once and get paid over and over and over again.
  • Why you’ll never say “I can’t afford this” ever again…write your own rules for paying for what you want.
  • How to make sure you turn up the ‘FUN quotient’ in your life and not get burnt out! (Plus: Exactly how to shatter the biggest excuse to waiting for more money to have fun!)
  • Easy ways to bring fun into other people’s lives who you care about – and create real meaningful experiences.
  • The painless rule to “automatically” giving back now instead of waiting & lots more!

Check it out and I would love to hear your comments.

Really good stuff! I’m excited. Anyone who pals around with Branson must have something I want to learn. Your idea of having FUN! and giving back I agree with 100%. If you can’t do that why live? And most importantly giving back personally instead of just with money is the most important thing you pointed out. It’s good for everybody involved, most importantly YOU. I can’t wait to see the rest of your material. As of right now uyou have been added to my want to meet people. Branson was already there. Trump I’ve met, but he wasn ‘t on the list. I’d trade 4 of him for 1 Branson because of Branson’s attitude of having fun and giving back. There are many ways to make money, but it’s what you do after you have it that really shows what you’re made of.

<p>I thought the video sounded off the cuff and unprofessional.<br />
I ASSUME the product you are talking about it affiliate mkg but it was not<br />
clear. I thought you did not give enough clear info as to what you are offering. Also, the pictures on the first page were meaningless to me.<br />
This doesn’t mean that you have not been successful and have knowledge to share. I am looking to be a part of a winning team.</p>

    * Well, it was off-the-cuff. ;) Not a Hollywood production here. – Y.S. *

  3. Kavit Says:

    Yanik,

Great video. You hit the nail on the head with energy management.

I did your survey for you – I have been running an information business for a while and having a lot of fun, creating the personal freedom, etc.

The biggest thing I picked up was the BIG list idea. I’m going to create one now and keep adding to it. I am already doing things I thought I’d never do and I’m in my early 20s. My friends who are all working at banks and going through tough times and 10-14 hour days wonder how I have so much time.

Actually, i’m a scientist but don’t work in science right now. I’m fully doing this. I love the lifestyle it has created for me more than anything.

There are still things I’m trying to get rid of like distractions at home during the day time, and building a team is looking the hardest for me but I am excited to get your package.

Winning it would be great but if I don’t I may still go for it

    All the best buddy,

    Kavit

  4. Sam Knoll Says:

    Great stuff Yanik!

    Hey gang,

I got an early copy of the intro package and all I can say is “Fantastic!”.

Yanik always preaches over-delivering and giving back and this is no exception. He is definitely walking the walk.

Yanik, thanks again for great, inspirational, actionable information.

You might have good information in here, but frankly, it just takes too long for you to get to it here. I was expecting a higher quality production given all that you promose, with actual video instead of screen shots of a poor power point presentation.

You have been recommended to me by people I respect, so I will take it on faith that you have much to offer. Unfortunately, I’m not seeing it here.

  7. Rob Says:

Some people get it and some people will never get it.

Live life in the moment and take each day for what it is. Who knows when or what catastrophe, personal or otherwise, might strike. Imagine you found out you had exactly (oh say for example) two years to live. What would you do? Would you be doing what you are doing right now? Really?

Freedom is the critical word. I saw the writing-on-the-wall about the direction our economy was heading. In 2005 I sold everything, bought a sailboat, and moved aboard. No mortgage, no car loan, no credit card debt, NO debt at all. So glad I did.

Moonlighting on the Internet has made all of this possible.

We sit in the cockpit of our sailboat and watch the sun rise and the dolphins play while drinking a steaming cup of coffee. In the evening while watching the sunset I drink a glass of wine, smoke a cigar, and recall the day’s events.

Ann, you obviously do not know the reputation here. Sometimes people would rather correct grammer than get the message. Why waste time? You get your money back! Oh yea….Zero.

    Yanik

Good info. It seems some people are mistaking “slick production values” with information that will take you further along in their businesses and lives.

True this was not a hollywood production or made for tv movie. It’s not designed to entertain you while you eat popcorn and candy. Its purpose is to give you information.

There are some real pearls of wisdom in what you say.

    Yanik,

I really enjoyed the video. You make a lot of great points. I recently finished your book and am anxious to get started. I’d welcome any suggestions you have.
Do you ever host events locally? I’m only 3 hours from you and would love to get to Maryland and learn more.

    Thanks,

    Hi Yanik,

I would have past this up if I saw my name misspelled again.

This shows me you do get back people.

I was about to give up on seeing any feedback from you.

    The video was great!

I always think of the Lennon and McCartney analogy.

    Yanik –

Great video that underlined what I’m now doing – reinventing myself to be a “senior” maverick! Spent a lot of time doing adventurous stuff in my 20′s as a naval officer all over the world, sky-dived, bungee jumped, etc. Then got caught up in corporate endeavors, started companies, lost and made money, and lost track of the balance you emphasize.

Now, approaching 60, I’ve mapped out a course to get my life back on full tilt boogie in all areas – already getting back in shape, planning trips, working online, etc. Thanks for the added energy and encouragement you provide in this video.

I look forward to the 6th!

  16. Leo Walker Says:

    Yanik;

No this is not a polished production, it is something far more than that. Your words come from a heart steeped in lived experience that evoked in me a renewed hope, and a vision for the future. I have long struggled to see what I might yet become, given that I have always marched to my own drum and don’t fit the molds conventional society places as models before us. Having listened to your brief presentation I see the way. How it will work, I mean the nuts and bolts, I have no idea. Thanks to you I now have the crucial insight, coupled with excitement, that will, **WILL** free my family and I to live outside the penumbra of fear that so infects the world at this time. Thank you.
    Leo

  17. Kim Snyder Says:

As always Yanik you are speaking from your heart. Powerpoint was just fine by me because its wasn’t really what was on the presentation that made a difference it how and what you were saying. If I wanted to see something polished up I would go to the movies. Want to learn something new and take notes? Then what you did was perfect.
When you do what you believe in, it shows in everything you do. Something as simple as giving back a little of your time is even better than a check would ever be. Instead of wasting my time watching TV I make baby booties & hats for a group called Stitches from the Heart for single mom’s who may have nothing yet willing to bring a baby into this world. Easy way for me to give back.
Mavericks overall will be what makes a difference in the world left for the next set of people. Ones like you leave a mark without doing anything more than being yourself.
You gave a great set of questions that has me wondering what it is that I could do to change how I’m running things now. Being someone who has issues with being told what to do, creating my own rules really works for me!
I got lots to think about now, and ways to look at things that I didn’t really see before.

Thanks for all the insight and ideas.

    ~ Kim

  18. Yanik Fan Says:

I’m a big Yanik fan but I gotta say that the video bar and free line bar has been raised and Yanik’s not keeping up!

This is light weight stuff and poorly produced at that. But hey, it’s only 67 minutes long! The pain still lingers.

Yanik, I fear you are falling behind or are only half trying man.

    Yanik,

Thank you for reminding me to put down my phone and pick up my kids…

To drop my fears and take action on what I’m passionate about.

Thanks for reminding me that having fun doesn’t mean you can’t be making a difference at the same time.

Sometimes what we ‘know’ isn’t always what we ‘do’. Just the push I needed today…

Your honesty and authenticity is refreshing.

  21. Nancy Cavanaugh Says:

While listening to your presentation I was downloading Twitter helper aps as part of my desire to become an accomplished “tweeter” who can offer practical expertise about designing and building successful websites. I got the skills down, I got the leading-edge social networking stuff going, but you began to fill in the cloudy areas with lots of inspiration about how to adjust my mental attitude in order to overcome hard economic times and feed that maverick character in my gut that will carry me through. As a former BNI member, I’m accustomed to the mantra, “Givers gain.” But I think you’ve added another dimension that encourages me to tap into my own creative energy and become a real pioneer in my field. Thank you so much.

  22. Ntathu Allen Says:

Yanik, I am throughly enjoying the video, taking notes and mentally seeing how to make the changes…then suddenly the video jammed -right in the middle of Add More Fun … prioritise and schedule … no matter i do, the video has stuck and refuses to continue… any sugestions as to how i can hear the rest of the video… Just had a thought – Maybe the Universe is saying “TakeNote…stop listening and schedule some fun days in diary and Do It Now”… OK I’m hearing. i shall do that and see happens.
Stay Blessed, Keep Growing and Sharing. Ntathu

  23. Ntathu Allen Says:

Blessings Yanik, well, i schedule three dates in my diary (Sunday 9th Nov – Girly shopping with my daughters; Saturday 23/11 – Family Gathering to Celebrates Twin daughter’s 15th birthday, Sunday 30th Nov – Bowling With Friends – ) But the video is still stuck… I guess I’ll go to bed, take what I’ve received into my dreams and see what the morning brings… Much Love and Thanks. Hopefully, the video will play in the morning??? Ntathu

  24. Rick Says:

    Yanik,
Your 34 Rules is one thing I read over and over again (even more than anything Rich Schefren has written!).
This sounds like a balanced program. In my offline career(s), I have always had balance between work, family, and community. I had volunteered extensively before my kids were born, in areas from adult illiteracy to battered women’s shelters. After my children were born, my community work has become focused on groups that are related to a particular “special needs” of one of my children. My career right now is lucrative and helps people.
The video was a little short on letting us know what the Insider will consist of – on the other hand, it is soooooo refreshing to watch a 1 hour video that is not simply hype, hype, hype, hype, hype!
Also, I attended your teleseminar with Frank McKinney and it was truly eye-opening.
Right now, I am just trying to get the “technical” part of the Internet business down. I am focusing on market research and copywriting. I have the Big Idea – it’s the details to get there I am working on.
I am looking forward to the release of your product and seeing what it contains. Thanks for releasing a product without over-hyping it.

    Hi Yanik

Inspiring video and you touch on a great point, with all our efforts in creating our businesses and making more money-we lose focus on what we really want.

At the end of the day we are all after the lifestyle that gives us choices on how we spend our time. Whether its going to Baja, or just sitting by the pool–its having these choices available that counts.

I remember speaking to Mike Filsaime earlier this year who was such a huge fan of the Maverick Adventure he encouraged a group of us to give it a go given the opportunity–I suppose this is one more goal to strive for .

    Thanks Yanik

    Regards

  26. Laurence Chilcott Says:

    Yanik hello,
You’ve taken in the whole picture, which means it’s a completely balanced look at life itself and I’m hopeful that perhaps for the very first time that the package your in the process of selling to us mere mortals will be affordable, even to us lowly pensioners?

Because from my observations of spending two and a half years on the Net(trying to make some extra dollars,so’s I can live with a little more dignity) I’ve found that most-if not all-of the guru’s(so called) are long on becoming rich and short on compassion, meaning that they price their products way outside what a struggling citizen can afford,so that only other ‘friend’ guru’s benefit.

Perhaps this time it will be different;let’s hope so anyhow, because I believe your stuff to be of the highest value and information that folks in my position need to be even moderately successful.

May God’s healing force be with you, always

It’s very rare for me to click through and listen to something like this but I’m glad I did.

I loved the photos you showed. They really brought me in – I appreciated that. It made me even more interested in your message and could feel the sincerity.

It’s great how you’ve broken things down in to 3 parts! This was definately worth writing down and will ponder it more at length.
    Usable tips too.
    Cool!

My training is in the arts. Most of it your video is DEFINATELY transferable to my career and has me thinking in wider terms.
But am wondering if the package you’re offering would relate too…
    Would it really be relevant?

  28. Velma Says:

    Hi Yanik,

In buying your products I find it amazing that you give so much information away and I can’t quite understand why more people aren’t buying, or [*ahem*] perhaps evidently they are, which is why you are at and maintain multi-millionaire status.

I first became familiar with you in the Dan Kennedy monthly newsletters and cd’s, and I never really gave it a second thought (sorry, but true). Now I’m in about the 5th day of the Ryan Lee Millionaire Workout Insider I’m beginning to connect the dots, or rather they are/you are connecting them for me.

Aside from some very odd jobs related to my industry strung together which I only keep to buy more information from people like you (and the latter because I understand that there is NO risk involved in purchasing your products) I just recently quit my job. I’ve set some lofty goals for myself, I gotta tell ya, and viewing this video has only solidified that I’ve made the right decision.

Although I am very comfortable in this decision I’m very careful, as you mentioned to share them with just anyone. I am grateful for you passing your information off to us and the process you use to go about your fruition, planning and implementation. As a dreamer fast becoming a believer, I find it very helpful.

I’m glad you expanded the 15 minutes into an hour.

Thanks Yanik, I look forward to many more great things coming our my as only you can deliver.

    Sincerely, Velma

    Aloha,

Brad Fallon told me to come watch your video, and I have to say great info. As far as the complaints about the quality mentioned above and who knows maybe below. I have to say this, “if someone give you the gift of gold who cares what sort of paper it is wrapped in?”

  33. Palmer Says:

    Hello Yanik
Thank you for a truly inspirational video. I agree with you in virtually every aspect of your approach to life. What a wonderful blueprint. So many people miss so much. In your defense [not that you need justification for anything you do] some people see thru binoculars others see mud.
I love your sense of adventure, perhaps one day we’ll meet.

  34. Darwin Says:

I was reminded that it is so easy to get caught up in getting totally immersed in building a business. To such an extent the it owns me and traded one imprisonment for another.

Watching the video was an inspiration and motivating to change focus to how I want to live and integrate the business that finances that lifestyle into my living.

There are few role models or examples of people who do this so Yanik is obviously a standout in this niche.

    Greatly appreciated.

  35. Chetz Yusof Says:

    Yanik,

Thanks for the video. I’d like to comment about 5 was to motivate yourself.
I tried to do all that. For must hit deadline. I had this too but I still didn’t hit the deadline. It happened many times until I sometimes don’t believe in myself anymore. I know that’s bad but I couldn’t help it. Especially everytime I said it, my partner doesn’t believe it anymore.

But thanks. I won’t quit and will do this again.

    Chetz Yusof
    http://www.chetztv.com

    * Chetz, it’s important to start re-building that confidence by hitting easy deadlines and building up a success ladder. It sounds cliche but everything starts with one step – then your confidence grows. If in the past you haven’t hit deadlines – set up some ‘softball’ ones you can knock out of the park. ie. ‘My own Big Life List of 15 items by xxx date’. Start with yourself. Then I’d suggest doing the PowerPause exercise. It’s from my friend John Harricharan, spend 3 minutes with your eyes closed. First minute think about what you want, 2nd minute think about how it feels to have already achieved this and 3rd minute spend time thinking about what you are grateful for. That’s it. – Y.S. *

  37. Craig Dewe Says:

    Yanik,

I think you cover some very good points in this video (confirmed by the fact that I paused it midway to get some paper and start taking notes). It’s refreshing to hear the real stories of a real guy who walks the path that I have chosen.

Personally, my biggest takeaways were the motivational aspects. This is because I find myself with all the knowledge of what to do and 95% of it implemented… yet still having trouble kicking myself over the edge to take my business to the next level.

Fear to completely jump out of the airplane… I’m still hanging on by one hand screaming “I’M GONNA DIE!” when I know it’s time to let go and enjoy the ride.

Sure, I’ve had success… and I’ve had struggles… but I’m glad I’ve kept plugging away and know that if I keep going I’ll be hanging out with Richard Branson one day too.

So thanks for the boost and the reminder to have more fun and give more back. Sometimes we lose these key ideas in the “make money” mode. I look forward to learning more from you.

    Thanks again,
    Craig

  40. Roy T. Harrison Says:

    Hi Yanik,

First, I had heard about you now this is the firsttime I started to get to know you. Rosalind Gardner suggested I listen to this.

First I enjoyed the whole 68 minutes of it as I found it partticulaly interesting from start to finish.

Essentially I concur with your philosophy, life is a balance bertween everything. In law we have balance of justice and in construction we have balance of structure.

In regard to tithing this was developed by the community as a type of insurance as evidenced by the tythe barns in England and rthe graneries of ancient Egypt. It was accmmodated into religion because in the early days the church made fairer distributions to the poor & needy. Tithings also considered retirement(money saved for the delining years). However, this has given us a reasonable(rule of thumb) measure as based on experience. I do not remember the breakdown of the 10 segments but I would imagine; gifting to the poor, pension, food , lodging and family would be the prime components.

The general principles you have given relate to us all. However, I enjoyed hearing of your exploits and to relating happiness in our youth as a measure today, this is a new aspect to me and is certainly worth consideration.

Your speaking was good I did not fall asleep as I tend to do on monolgues ! Hope this gives you another measure.

Thanks and Good wishes for the Future = Roy

  41. Sean Breslin Says:

I enjoyed the video and look forward to the 6th, see you then Yanik!

  42. Victoria Ling Says:

Maverick is defined as independent, unorthodox. This certainly describes me perfectly. Since graduation, I have never taken on a route that is typical and usual, ie, become a civil servant (working for governmental organisations).

I chose the road less travelled and found my life more enriched simply because of the challenges that I would face compared to my peers who took on the typical route. I probably would have made more money had I got a job in the government organisations or private organisations. But given a second chance to start over, I wouldn’t trade all that I have experienced for a stable job and salary.
(Guess I am a maverick at heart ;)

I have been involved in theatre production for the past 10 years – a passion that doesn’t pay but gives me tremendous satisfaction.

I stumbled upon internet marketing and quickly realised that this is what I must succeed in to continue to live the maverick life BUT with more fun and less guilt.

The guilt comes when I am not so successful financially. I wish I can spoil my parents like you did with your mom’s wedding and hijacking your dad for a plane ride.

Also, I wish I can do more and contribute to help cancer patients but more often than not, I feel quite helpless.

However, having conviction and taking consistent sustained action, I finally have a breakthrough in my internet marketing business.

Whoa! I had not planned to comment but ended up with an essay ;) …much like your planned 15 minutes turned into an hour. Haha…

With my type of personality, I guess I am totally unemployable so I am definitely continuing to be a maverick entrepreneur.

  43. Ishaam Says:

    Yanik,

Wow Video :) This video hit it right on the head for me and what you say is indeed true, I’ve experienced the giving back where money comes back to you in multiple folds, this is true – strange how the natural law works, this was also told to many times by my grandmother where she says its funny, that she donates money to a charity and it comes back in different ways. The notes below really hits home with me.

Stop making Exuses and askq questions instead for your brain to resolve.
ask questions – how can I
    – what can i
    – who can i
    – where can i

    provide more value to customers
deadlines – provide motivation to do it
    document it
go public, and make a bet

having more fun – waiting for something – total BS

SET PERIOD of day you do your best thinking and activities – morning
turn off email, twitter – and focus!

You need disconnection from the business world to have fun, disconnect
from your mobile phones connecting to the Internet,

You need to recharge and renew – have more fun

that leads to more creative energy which leads to you
    Making more money

Prioritize and schedule – a planner is important
add tweaks to regualar activities to have more fun

add more fun into other peoples lives

Creating your big life list – DONT SETTLE FOR ORDINARY LIFE, BE OUTLANDISH
    ============================
who do you want to meet
what do you want to do
what experiences do you want to have
what places do you want to see

hVING A BIG LIST MOTIVATES YOU – GET INSPIRATION TO GO ON

    Give back more – abundance
abundance versus scarcity – Abundance – giving back , charity – you get multiple fold
of the money you give out, you get back – its totally true – natural law

give back cheerfully and purposefully – donate 10% of profits to charities, etc.

    Make it a no brainer
    - automatic
    built into your habits
raise your price a couple percentage points and that becomes your donation

    good for business
    good for contacts
    good for pr
Fun – good for a cause

Good video overall and thanks for coming public with this.

    Hi Yanik,

Loved your info ! I have never bought any of your products but met Mike Dillard at his event in Austin and I know he is a friend and recommends you.

My husband and I are all about adventure. We met through our love of mountain biking, and then went on to become mountaineers . Climbed the Grand Teton, Mount Hood, Mount Shasta , some smaller peaks, and spent our honeymoon climbing the East Buttress of Mount Whitney.

We’ve ice climbed, cycled, surfed, golfed, backpacked and love to explore. Our next adventure is kite boarding.

I have always said that the money is not all about the “stuff” but the freedom it can “buy” you.

We are currently living full time in our RV . We sold our home , kept some rental property, my husband does some consulting that takes him around. So I am starting to build my internet empire because I want my business to continue to give us the resources and freedom to do what we are doing now together.

Keep the great messages coming. Life cannot be deferred!

    All the Best,

  45. Bob Says:

Very well done. Had, I hope, a homey/heartfelt feeling to it. One problem for me though (I been said to be crazy before) is I can’t seem to find a way to order Maverick Business Insider? Please advise.

    * Bob – glad you’re ready to get going on it. It’ll be available on Thur. Nov 6th. Stay tuned.*

  46. David G. Says:

    Yanik,

I am very fortunate to have found this tremendously powerful video today. As I sit here unemployed, locked in fearful thoughts, and watching my financial life crumble I am determined to turn things around.

Your video reminded me of several critical problems I have been experiencing
    1. I have not been outsourcing what I suck at…
    2. I traded time for money and the money is gone…
    3. I have lost all motivation…
    4. I have lost confidence in myself…
    5. I have lost Focus…
    6. I forgot I am an expert…

Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the 6th with great anticipation. The free information you have already provided me is priceless.

    Regards

    David G.

  47. Bob Says:

Thank you. I’ll be there. Good to know all the screws are still tight.

  48. Joseph Carroll Says:

Excellent Video Yanik I really enjoyed it and it was very motivating.

It all makes perfect sense hey way you described everything about life and how any one can make a contribution to others.

Thank you for the opportunity of viewing the video.

    Regards
    Joe

  49. Thomas Burke Says:

I was really enjoying and getting a lot out of your video but suddenly it stopped in the middle and I can not get it to go past that point.

    * I’m working with our video guys now to see if there’s an issue… a couple people mentioned it stopping *

  50. Paul Says:

    Kudos, Yanik.

Although it may not be thoroughly polished, your presentation strikes chords in all of us. I determined a couple of years ago to break the mold and become a maverick of sorts. My wife and I are plugging ahead full bore into a niche that has needs, but not much fulfillment other than typical fluff coverage, which to me amounts to band-aid touches.

More on that when we are ready.

What matters most is giving of ourselves to others, so that they can learn and grow, and get out of the mindless establishment rut/graveyard, and learn to live again!

Your information sparks the ideas that help propel anyone to think and dream. Looking forward to the release on Thursday!

    Paul

  51. Ray Says:

This is great and shows that you share how to be distinct in a sea of clones that the average majority seem to want to stay. Thanks for giving me inspiration to want to continue to be different.

  52. Eric Phillipson Says:

    <p><p>Yanik,</p><br />
<p>Definitely enjoy what you’re doing. We share similar philosophies on life. My three are Educate, Motivate, and Unify as I work with the music business and feel that these three core business values are the only ways that the industry I love can survive. I have been focused offline for awhile and have finally begun the transition to business online. People like Ryan Lee and you have motivated me to have fun while doing so and in-turn have allowed me to connect with people and form better relationships.</p><br />
<p>Too many times in business and launches we get so caught up in the business portion that we forget to have fun. I do music business, I should be having fun every second! Thanks for reminding me about that.</p><br />
<p>I can’t lie though, I’m trying to make a lot of cash so that I can feed my own hunger. See, I want to run a non-profit Performing Arts center for at-risk youth in my home-state.</p><br />
<p>So, I appreciate any and all advice you have given over the years because I am a firm believe that knowledge is power. If knowledge will get me closer to the lifestyle I envision for myself and help me achieve my goals, then I’m ready to learn.</p></p>
<p>Here’s to continued education, motivation, and unification!</p><br />
    <p>-Eric Phillipson</p></p>

<p>* Thanks Eric – btw- I want to point something out. There’s nothing wrong with saying you want to make a lot of money. I think we all should especially if we can use part of that money for something good like you intend to. I don’t know why there’s guilt surrounding it. The only long-term way of making money is providing value. And if you do that everybody wins. Plus, the more people like you make – the more others who can use your help will get it – Y.S. *<br />

  53. Troy Holder Says:

Ok Yanik you have finally outdone yourself, just so you know I’ll be implementing the ‘steal and deploy’ strategy with full force.

This video finally pulls it all together for me, at last I have a ‘blue print” to redesign my life to full fill my destiny and be truly ‘me’. I’m a natural giver, I like helping people progress but it’s always a burden.

Thanks to you and I can now start living the Maverick Entrepreneur lifestyle. As for those complaining about the production quality, as a trained graphic and advertising designer all I’ll say is, “Being pretty is not always profitable’

Yanik, thanks very much, my wife and 5 year old daughter will be happier because of you.

  54. Robertas Says:

    Privet Yanik,

You know those videos you watch once and regret? Well this is something I’ve bookmarked and shared with my friends.

Believe me or not – I am little bit sad and happy at the same time :) There are some books I’ve read on productivity, self-growth and self-developement that aren’t even close to what I’ve just seen. Why you didn’t make this video earlier?

I would like to say thank you for taking your time to create and share this video with us.

  55. Neil Says:

    Yanik

    Awesome Video…

Here are my thoughts and something I have been learning and has been very difficult at times to accept over the last three years

I think we are all wired in one of two ways, there are some of us that are wired to accept life the way it is and others who make things happen.

I got to this country as an immigrant 8 years ago. I had absolutely no option but to survive. I had no credit, no place to live but had a job. Heck I did not even know how to drive as we drove on the opposite side of the road when I lived in South Africa

And that’s way some of your stuff absolutely resonated. I had a deadline. If I did not make things happen I would starve and worse still have to go back home broke. So I believe that driving ourselves to deadlines make me take action no matter the situation.

And heres what happened next. I got successful at my job, even corky and a little arrogant and was on my way to the top.

And before you know it I quit and started my own business. And the worst mistakes I was trying to use corporate tactics to run a small internet business.

I had to get everything aligned and perfect before I did anything. And you know what all my reserves and cash flow was gone in three months.

And then it hit me again. Hey I know have a deadline. It is either sink or swim. And I am doing everything in my power to make my business work. No excuses. And I am seeing some great results.

So I like your theory about natural laws. Without deadlines, no excuses, recharging and doing something for a higher purpose, it would take longer to meet my goals.

I do however disagree with you on certain aspects on your video. When I started out alone on this business and with no help and limited funds it is no easy to outsource stuff you can’t do at first. It costs money and time and effort. I think the business needs to be built to a point where you can afford to outsource.

The other hard part is that we all have to figure out what works by trial and error. There is no one size fits all approach. I am not sure what’s in your content. I assume it is of the highest quality but one thing that concerns me is that it takes so much time to study and implement new methods and there is a cost involved when this does not work well.

As a solo entrepreneur there is a severe cost to our business. Time lost and wasted means one more step closer to going back to the corporate job.

    Thanks for the great video
    Neil

    Hi Yanik,
Thank you so very much for posting that great 1 hour video of you walking us through your “Maverick Philosophy.” I’ve got 7 pages of amazing notes. I can’t wait to see the entire program this week that you will be releasing.

    Thanks again,

  57. Cyril Ashby Says:

I registered for the “maverick” survey at the weekend and made a whole bunch of very profound feelings and statements as experienced by a newcomer to Internet marketing. Being semi retired I mustered all the cynicism I could lay tongue to, not in rude offensive manner but from the perspective of a very pissed off mislead newcomer, beset by all the B/S that prevails in cyberspace. Then I clicked a button and the whole diatribe was lost, fuelling my frustration. Then an amazing thing happened. The Maverick Manifesto video arrived. Whoops! Did I ever feel relieved (that I had flicked the wrong button), embarrassed that I almost hadn’t and pissed off that I could have even thought that way. The video was a breath of hope and a way forward, and I still can’t believe how close I came to making a complete dick of myself. I’m still coming to terms with the fact that someone (Yanik Silver) exists out there whom thinks and articulates with simplicity and truth, what to me was becoming a mine field of miss information, into something that is finally looking like I could actually “do it”.

  58. Scott Says:

    Yanik,
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Having work-life balance is really an essential part of truly living. And, if that balance should get skewed…lets hope it’s on the giving and having fun side…not the work side! I personally work so that I can enjoy mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, and experiencing the world. I aspire to get to a point where I can work whenever I want, wherever I want without financial worry. I have a goal to give $100,000 to a deserving and well run charity. And I wholeheartedly agree with Zig Ziglar when he says that you can have anything in life you want, if you help enough people get what they want.

  59. Mike M Says:

    Yanik,

    Great useful information.

Your video was well worth watching.
Equally as valuable as your copywriting materials.

Your video reminded me of concepts & ideas that I already “knew” but forgot as life has a habit of getting in the way and making you forget what’s really important in life.

I remember seeing a video of Frank Kern trying to flatten your tires during the race.
Both you and Frank are really characters.

    Live Life To The Fullest!

  60. Scott Says:

    Yanik,
More of your fantastic ideas. I’m still working my way through Moonlighting. You keep bombarding me all these ideas how am I suppose to keep up?
    Keep it coming!!

  61. JR Felisilda Says:

We learned about you through Ryan Lee. Very interesting and intriguing. The internet lifestyle is something we definitely are working towards. Currently, we just got our domain (website) but will be uploading/starting to market soon (within the week).

Looking forward to learn more from you, Yanik Silver and other web-preuners.

    Thanks.

  62. Nathan Morris Says:

    Yanik,

I’ve always appreciated your general ‘philosophy’ on business and as you know I’ve put most if not all of your philosophies to work in my own businesses.

I’m working on a new business that follows particularly the ‘have more fun’ aspect of the philosophy and so far the profit outlook for 2009 is looking quite tasty. You’ll probably be fairly shocked at how different it is from everything I’ve done in the past, but my is it going to be a heck of a lot more fun for me :) ….the money is nice too ;-) .

Anyhow, I just wanted to drop a quick note primarily to say good luck with this launch and I look forward to hopefully joining you in Maverick in the coming years, if the cards fall correctly – maybe 2009?

This video was great as always and if anyone feels they didn’t get something really powerful from it – they weren’t paying attention.

    Best Wishes!

    Nathan

  63. JR Felisilda Says:

We are still learning much about the web lifestyle. The lifestyle you talked about in the video is something that most, if not all, people should be interested in. Having more time and yet having more money is the ultimate life. Passive income earned through creating something once and being paid for it numerous times is something my wife and I are pursuing.

When it boils down to it, if money was not an issue we would be spending more time on things we love (not on things we have to do such as the job). We would travel more, adopt kids, spend time with relatives, give more to our charities. There is much to do…

    Thanks,

    Yanik,

Being new to network marketing I wouldn’t presume to tell you whether or not your video was of ‘ocsar’ material or not. However I found it informative and inspiring. It can be overwhelming for someone with no prior experience to venture into this field. It is good to have credible guidance. I am excited and looking forward to obtaining my copy of The $15,000 Closed-Door Session; invalueable to me!

“Making opportunities” may be little more than having the presence of mind to notice that they are there. We are always surrounded by doors of opportunity. Opportunity has alot to due with noticing.

    Thank you Yanik

  65. Maureen Cartwright Says:

Thank you, Yanik, for emphasizing how important it is to take time for enjoyment as this is truly the way to refresh our minds, bodies and souls so we can continue with renewed vigor. Also I am grateful for the list you told us to make as to what we want to do in our lifetime. This gives us hope for a future and would certainly prevent depressive thoughts when we follow your philosophy. I also wrote down the titles and authors of any sources you referred to. Thanks again. 66. Herb Says:

    Hi Yanik,

Thank you for sharing on this video. You may have produced the best ‘free’ video with plenty of your great fundamentals.

will have to look for the Nov 6 release.

  67. Kenny Michaels Says:

    Yanik,

Setting priorities is key Finding a balance between living your life or just going thru the motions- after a recent job loss, a son in Iraq and a pending divorce I have decided to make the maverick lifestyle part of my game plan for however many more years I might have here
    on this earth.

Thanks for helping me get thru some tough times

  68. Vince Says:

    Yanik,
I am new to your work and really appreciated the candid thoughts about your success and how to emulate it – regardless of the packaging. It’s inspiring for me to see someone my age that’s killing it, but also wants to give back, and enjoy doing it! Love your style…looking forward to learning more.

  69. Ken Sar Says:

    Hi Yanik,

Your video sucks! It is too long! Need professional voice over!

Anyway, it is also crazy! If anyone following your advise to the point where you talk about “be crazy”, they will be crazy too!

However, I pick up a few pointers:
+don’t screw around with myspace, facebook ,email and so on…
    +stay focus and keep focus
+get things done and document it

I would say if anyone has not watch this video yet, they should. And I highly recommend to spend the 67 minutes to really listen to this crazy guy talking. (not crazy if you don’t follow some of his crazy idea.)

Overall, this is a very great video. Lots of useful information! If you already view it, I highly recommend to go back to see it again! For another 67 minutes! Seriously!

  70. Peter B Says:

    Hi Yanik,

Just finished watching your manifesto(my first introduction to you) – and I thought FINALLY! Someone who is guiding people to balance. Someone who is getting people back in touch with their own energy, how they function optimally and how they enjoy living.

I heard a great spiritual saint once say…..even when you are serious you are in FUN…..That is what I felt radiate from your message – re- energize, renew yourself, give to yourself so that you may give even more to others. Keep emptying yourself in service and your cup will always have room to be filled again.

Keep blazing the trail and shining your light and illuminating the way for others.

We are all incredible – sometimes we just need the spark to re ignite
the fire within. Thanks for the spark.

    All the best…….Peter B

  71. Jini Patel Thompson Says:

    Hi Yanik,

I’ve derived 100% of my income from my online businesses for the last eight years – hence I’ve listened to and bought stuff from a lot of internet marketers (including you, of course!).

And I have to say – it is SO nice to see someone finally putting forth a more holistic business success model. This industry is so dominated by turbo-charged males – who are not up nights with their kids, cooking unprocessed food to ensure their health, volunteering for the reading program at their kids’ schools, etc.

Whoever said SUCCESS was just about MONEY anyway? Sure, money is a nice big part of the success pie, but not the only slice. Here’s how I define success:

    * How’s your health? (Good Health Is Real Wealth is the title of my subscription newsletter)

    * Do you have meaningful, intimate relationships with your spouse and kids?

    * Are you actually parenting, nurturing and teaching your own children?

    * Do you do things on a regular basis that nurture your soul and stoke your passions?

    * Are you well-travelled and able to move fluidly in different cultures?

    * How many languages do you speak?

    * Are you helping the earth, or harming it?

    * Do you have lots of fun and a good measure of adventure in your life?

    * Do you have enough money to live the life you want to live?

    * Do you have enough money to travel, pay for your hobbies and provide for your kids’ needs?

    * Are you giving back or just taking?

And yes, I walk my talk. I’m not to the level of wealth that you are, but I live in a million + house, have a second vacation home, my main online business generates 35 – 40K per month. Since we have outsourced, subcontracted and automated everything, we routinely go away to hot, beach destinations for 2-3 month blocks of time. Our 3 kids (aged 2, 5, 8) travel brilliantly and never suffer jet lag cause they’re so used to it and can sleep anywhere.

I take art classes (I’m learning to paint!), do yoga or martial arts (with and without my kids), have breastfed all 3 of my kids for 5 years total, I cook them organic, unprocessed food from scratch and I spend at least a couple hours every day nurturing my soul with my favorite thing: lying in bed with a good book and a table of snacks.

And no, I’m not a hyperspeed, supermom either – just listening to women like that exhausts me. I’m the queen of outsourcing and working smart – not hard – so I can be chilled out and smooth. Now I sound like an alcoholic beverage…

Anyway, of course, I want to make more money (and I will) but I’m on the path. So like I said, it’s REALLY great to see someone else (in your nice relaxed, chilled out manner) putting forward a well-rounded, holistic business model too.

    Thanks for being you!

And for having the balls to share that in a marketplace glutted with hyper, driven, let-me-make-sure-at-least-every-sentence-I-utter-contains-at-least-two-power-words, gooroos.

    cheers,
    Jini

  72. Caroline Says:

You pretty much stated a lot of the obvious, but often overlooked. I have recently been trying to pick a stating point, and I have – although the blog (it is interesting that blogs are notw the hot spot, I decided that was where I wanted to start getting aggressive some time ago) is on there – not functional yet (will be by end of next week it will be if I can figure out the *!@#$% video editing program). I knew I had to get moving to add to my income, and soon and do it on a shoestring budget. Well, today it became obvious my day J.O.B. and the store I manage will probably not be here next year – sooo, true to my workaholic nature I am outlining a rough business plan to be self sufficent by the end of the year. Put on my hard hat and head’in in. thx for the lengthy video :-)

    Caroline

  73. Hazel Says:

One of the things that the video reminded me of is that one is never too old to go back to basics or to keep learning, or keep changing, keep exploring and keep giving. As someone in their late fifties who does not want to go back to the corporate world and has been struggling for the past year to find the ways to follow my passion but still make money doing so the video is a good guide and outline. It is funny that you make the comment about not getting sidetracked by emails – yours I do tend to open, many others I have finally learned to skip as they drained so much time. I also like your tip “what did you like to do as a kid?”. So many of us could benefit from reconnecting with our early years and get excited with those feelings of joy and abandon.

  74. Lisa Young Says:

Mark Joyner’s program boils it all down: Time, Energy and Money are the only sources of power in your personal world. When you put your powers to use for good and not evil/idleness, you’re going to see a tremendous return on that invesment.

Yanik has not only achieved it, he shares willingly with his coaching clients and the world at large. When you help others get what they want…

    You know the rest.

I am, however, one of those people that wants to see a video when someone says there’s a video. To those whom much is given, much is expected. It’s really disappointing that people are letting shoddy presentation slide in exchange for high content – why can’t we have both? In the book industry, there are editors, cover designers and proofreaders all set up to keep poorly produced material (regardless of the quality of content) from hitting the stor shelves). It’s not a matter of IF gold is wrapped inside or not – It’s Yanik Silver for cryin’ out loud – of COURSE it’s valuable!

Like the infamous Salvador Dali “autograph” he could sign his name to a bar napkin and it would become valuable in the right circles.

But I think the question in this world of advanced internet marketing techniques is if TWO bars of gold of fairly equal value are being placed in front of you, would you choose the one in the brown paper bag or the shiny wrapping paper with the big gift bow?

    ** Lisa, thank you. I am actually working on a souped-up version. – Y.S. **

There are a LOT of marketers vying for attention and money right now – and many of them have great products and ideas. Yanik’s program takes the next logical step – conneting the heart with the head – and therefore wins out over many of the other “bricks” out there.

It would be nice, though, if for once we could have our cake (a great product) and eat it too (quality presentation).

  75. Glen Says:

Wow great video and something to look forward to.Yes I understand some of the freedom that you and your family enjoy but I doubt it happen over night.

See you can have a lot of the freedom that you talk about right now as long as your mind set is there. No you do not need to be rich to share and enjoy life to the fullest.

I am sure we all have a different level of success and what truly makes us all happy.Yes as I was growing up my father preached to me to work hard and long hours and your success will be there.

Again when you were raised by someone who lived threw the depression and continued to harp on paying cash for everything you buy or just don;t buy it.

I have been in the construction business for over 25 years and have had 100′s of employees all the ups and downs I care to talk about but the one thing I always said is once I semi retire I want a business that I can run by just me.

So after reading and learning going to seminars I finally was able to start up my own site.Once again I have found this is a different mind set for me.

I understand the network part of it and the outsourcing has been a challenge only because I am to trust worthy with people.

Yes I see and love the freedom that I no this will give me and my family.I like the fact that it goes where I go.[laptop]

I am learning the funnel marketing method and this I believe will be the keys to the castle once I get it.

I like the set it and forget it and get paid forever method that you have created.Jim Edwards opened my mine to this and I have been working on it ever since.

So my membership site that we have created in my construction niche is exciting and look forward to learning more and more everyday.

So I think I am half way there to your freedom lifestyle and giving back was something dear mom taught me along time ago so I have always had that down pat.

Meeting the right people and having them come into your life is a blessing and I hope someday our paths will cross and I can thank you in person for all your passion that shines threw you.

    Yanik,

In comparison to the other’s out there, you are providing people with more than just a pretty package of “how to’s”, you are giving people a taste of an abundant life. You definitely seem to have mastered the art of balance. Thank you for being real, and sharing your insights, passion and story.

  77. Kristi Link Says:

Lots of great stuff in there! Thanks a bunch Yanik for sharing with us! I loved the discussion about living in a universe of abundance and that by giving 100 times the value is what brings people back and grows a business exponentially.

(I liked the off-the-cuff presentation. I could tell you are very passionate about what you are teaching and have a lot to give!)

    Thanks for sharing!

  78. Chuck A Says:

Having lived through a show stopper moment in my life, I now know that you must live for the moment as you never know when fate will take it from you. I was at the top of my profession, Director of Store Operations for a retail chain and I was helping to close one of my store locations when a ladder collapsed sending me and my life into a different world. Then I went through numerous operations, have a plate and four screws through my spine. Lost my spleen and then spent 9 months in the hospital with acute necrotizing pancreatitis. No one caught the damage the fall had caused my pancreas. A million dollars in medical bills and 15 months with no income as I fight with Social Security disability to convince them I am injured. Now I am winning the battle and my health is improving and it is time to Dream again and to believe again. SEIZE THE DAY AS IT MAY BE YOUR LAST! LIVE LARGE, DREAM BIG AND GIVE THANKS TO GOD FOR THE GIFT OF THE DAY!

  79. Me, The-Food-Lovin-Adrenaline-Fiend-Travel-Junkie-That-Wants-A-Pair-Of-Newtons-And-A-Maserati Says:

    Hey Yanik,
    Enjoyed the video!

Man, it really hit home when you said that work expands with time allotted and that money, fun, and giving back is all interconnected.

    But…

The “AH-HA” happened just a couple seconds later when you said, and I’m paraphrasing, “If you schedule more fun things to do and more time to give back you’ll essentially have less time to get things done…”

    Damn. [with a light chuckle]

I sat there in a quite cafe staring at my laptop and just started busting up! (I think I startled the folks that were wired off of their lattes…made them look like Kramer, all spazzy and jittery, haha.)

What a coincidence…I was just telling my friend this weekend that these past few months, I’ve noticed that I’ve gotten a lot more done because of all things I planned to do.

These past few months, I’ve gone…Bungee jumping, Skydiving, White water rafting, tried some bootleg Drifting in my buddy’s car, Hung out at a hostel just to meet what kind of kind of people are traveling here, where they are from, and listen to what their story is; I committed to a trip to Tokyo and Morocco, went to Kauai for the 4th of July, visited NYC for the first time (Now, I’m going to be living there for a couple months in 2009 to experience it some more.), hosted my friends from France and my roommate from when I lived in Spain here in the City, and I finally ate at the Stinking Rose (The Fontina Fondue is SOOOO good!)

It’s so funny because I can remember EVERY SINGLE TIME saying to myself, “Sh*t! I need to get this done by such and such date” because I’m leaving.

It was stressful, but it was a healthy stress.

And whatever I needed to do got accomplished.

Then, it made the experience for me even better, and amplified it because I would still be pumped up off the excitement that I got everything done and the pressure was gone.

It’s like the act of completing everything by the deadline leading up to the “Fun” is all part of the adventure. Oh wait a sec, maybe that’s another example of how they are all interconnected.

    Well…to me it is.

Setting deadlines and making bets (My friend had to open my door for me wherever we went for a two weeks and also drive while I sat in the back with the window down while I screamed for him to hurry up and open my door. I loved it) helps keep me motivated and challenged. Bets are what I enjoy most…I’m not a big fan of baseball but when I make a friendly bet with my friends, the game is instantly interesting.

And for the record, I’m not some crazy gambler.

Oh yeah, unfortunately I got rained out of my Yosemite adventure where you rappel 100′ down the side of a cliff to a zip line, then you take the zipline125′ to another the edge of the cliff. Then, you disconnect from the zip line and hang from it with your hands. Next, you let go and you start your rope swing 300′ above the ground, while 20′-30′ feet away from the cliff face at 60mph…once you stop swinging…you are now 200′ above the ground and you have to jumar up the swing rope 125′ and then jumar up the rappel rope another 100′. Don’t forget to take in the view of Yosemite and the waterfall in the background…

Here is an example of the rope swing…but this is only 10% of the Yosemite adventure….WOO-HOO!

    ** I love it! Perfect!! **

  80. Vicky McDaid Says:

    Hi Yanik

I recently attended a seminar in Brighton UK and although you weren’t there, several speakers mentioned you and you are the only person whose products I have bought as a result of that. So it proves that you really have a strong message.
I think the idea of business adventures, encompasses everything I have previosuly read but as usual you have your easy to understand format to make it easy for lots of people to relate to.

I am still in the process of staring up my online business and the section on setting deadlines and getting rid of excuses struck a cord. I really do need to get on with it. I’ve done a lot of research but its action that is needed now.
The video production is enough to get the message across and for those that are negative I hope they have their own sites that live up to their expectations.

This has really inspired me to get on with it. I love the idea of betting someone and having to wear a Borat style thong, and if people thought they would have to see me in that, then they would definately support me – I dont think it would be a pretty site.

Thanks for putting the FUN back into business and helping me to focus.

Look forward to more of the same soon

Til we meet on necca island !
    Vicky

  81. Charles Says:

I copied Yanik’s Big List. I’ve done a few of those things already. I would like to see if I can finish that list before you do.

That’s a great video you’ve made. I shared it with some of my family. I know what you say is true. I have used my technical skills to make some visionaries very rich (multiple millions in under 3 years). I have never done it for myself, however.

By the way, I am an internet engineer with 15 years of experience. If you want to be sure your launch goes well, I know how to purchase and configure the load balancing technology to keep things going smoothly, and serve an apology page with delay tactics to a portion of users that exceed your servers’ capabilities.

    -Charles

  82. lexx Says:

The video was very informative, I goes to show that you have a great life.
I’ve been listening to for 2 years now and finally got a website up.
I’m 21 I just need a guru like you to help me put my sales funnel in the right order.

  83. Barry Says:

    Yanik,
Thank you so much for your content as well as your heart. You stirred the pot of creativity and no limit living.

I would like to return the favor and share a valued memory with you.

Many years ago I attended a seminar in which Theodore Sturgeon, the famous SciFi writer was the guest speaker. He took the podium wearing typical 60′s garb with a small leather pouch that hung from his shoulder. On the front of the pouch was fastened a large capital Q made of sterling silver with an arrow that started in the middle of the Q and pointed out of the Q to the right.

Sturgeon’s talk that day, one that I have always remembered, was about that silver symbol he wore.

When asked how he was mentally able to create elaborate societies in far away galaxies. Theodore replied, “The secret is in the Question.”

“The silver Q stands for the Question and the arrow runs left to right because that is how we read and learn. The two symbols together are the secret to my creativity.”

“I always ask the next question.”

Again many thanks Yanik, I was fortunate to find your book, “Moonlighting” and the man who wrote it.

    Warm regards,

    Barry

  84. Seth Says:

This is just my opinion for what it’s worth. You obviously have made some money online. I am always looking at ways to ad multiple streams of income. I don’t know why I spent the time to sit through your video. I’m my opinion time is very valuable and you wasted my time. I still don’t know what you are selling and you did not make me curious to get it for free. I would love to meet an internet marketer who actually had a package of information so that a person could get started in the online marketing business without having to go through hundreds of free stuff just to be up sold. I understand that’s how you make money. I want to know how to do it without having it done to me. Is that too much to ask? I can get real estate training and go make money. I have to buy everything under the sun from the internet before I figure out what everybody else is doing. I would gladly pay thousands of dollars for a complete package and some personal instructions. But hay who wants to put it all in one package?

  85. Mike Hartshorn Says:

Great stuff as always, Yanik! Better reevaluate who I follow because I really like that “off the cuff approach” you bring

I’ve recently driven a Nascar at the Fontana speedway and a dragster at Pomona, but not on the list, Yet for the space flight. I will raise the bar.

    Always Inspirational!

  86. Daniel Massicotte Says:

Thank you very much Yanik. Following guys like you, Plank, Ferriss and Kern can seem very distanced across North America. I really appreciate this vid. though; it reminds me that you didn’t just make one appearance online back in 2000 and then disappeared.

  87. Dipankar Says:

    Hi Yanik,

I just wanted to say thanks for the great video. I learned a lot and as always it reminded me of the need to take action. My observations and thoughts are below which I hope you can help me clarify.

I love the concept of the triad you have:

    1. Make more
    2. Have more fun
    3. Give back more

And I’m in no doubt about the interconnected impact of the three factors but I always thought how do I begin because I was focusing too much on the limits on my time and resources.

I work for others developing WordPress sites and blogs (I have even created some for the so-called ‘gurus’). I thought I was doomed to living making money project-by-project (exchanging time for money) but your video made a light bulb go off in my head. I had the idea to combine the best WordPress themes I have created (tweak it), bundle it with plugins that enhance WordPress and then provide support for a fee. Thank you.

Another point that resonated with me was the questions you ask. I realized I was asking all kinds of wrong questions like “Why can’t I have this?” or “Why I can’t afford this?” Now I’ll condition myself to ask questions that can open possibilities rather than shut down my options.

Also great was your tips about time management and focusing on the most productive time block. Also not to twitter my life away. Additionally, I’ll implement for 5 ways to motivate and will try to live without excuses. I had this notion that recharging and renewing meant lots of dollars but now I know that simple connecting with family and friends will do the trick. I’m also thinking of adding more fun to my work.

Moving forward, I want to make your own rules and not fight for projects based solely on prices. I’ll also sit this weekend and create my life’s big list.

As for giving, I am an active volunteer but I realized I was doing it for all the wrong reasons i.e. to make myself look good and out of obligation. I must have a mind shift about this and make it a ‘no-brainer’ and enjoy the process of giving back.

Thank you for sharing and opening my eyes. Also thanks for your generosity for releasing the “Maverick business insider” only for shipping and handling. I hope you’ll accept paypal as I do not have a credit card at the moment.

Thanks again, time to take action NOW.

    Dipankar

  88. James De Lara Says:

I love everything you write and do. I’m really buying into the internet lifestyle mentality, but, something is missing for me. It just hasn’t clicked yet to where I can create, develop or make an idea or concept start to make money. I have run into several roadblocks and have slid back into the old way of “it takes money to make money”! I’m trying, but, have been frustrated lately. Again, I’m trying – just frustrated as of late!!!

  89. Steve Little Says:

Well done my friend. I enjoyed the video.

It portrays the truth about the experience of true success.

It may have taken me nearly 4 decades to realize these truths, but we are absolutely singing from the same page.

Maybe you got there faster because the internet was not really there while I was on this journey. LOL ;0))

Well done, I am proud to be acquainted with you.

I am looking forward to the product.

    Steve

  90. Eric Hendrix Says:

The video was very enlightening. It reinforces all the books I have read regarding being successful. All the same information just delivered in a varying fashion.

I have been taken in by wealth enhancement offers in the past and unfortunately become very skeptical when it comes to this type of product. To make it even worse my wife is totally against investing in products like this. (even a bigger pessimist) The old phrase comes to mind “If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.)

As much as I’d like to view the product it may never happen due to the afore mentioned reasons. But I still look forward to see the offer on Nov. 6th. Who knows, I have learned a long time ago to “never say never”.

I still have a desire to and am working to be a successful business person.

Thank you for your time and effort making this available.

  91. Dominic Mogavero Says:

This was one of the best down to earth presentations I have listened to. Being over 50 and downsized from corporate America, I have been searching for integrity from all the internet marketing stuff I have looked at over the past 8 months.

This is certainly something I can put my energy into.

    Blessings…Dominic

  92. Paul Says:

“It is easy to be clouded by what we think we know, which intereferes with what we learn…you have presented in a very clear and believable way. I would sum it up this way…you are like the sun, the sun gives away all it has to the plants and trees. But in return, the plants and trees always grow toward the sun! Throughly enjoyed the content…thank you.

  93. Ken Says:

    Hi Yanik.

As always, your video gets right to the heart of what REALLY matters.

When I left my 30+ years in the corporate world, and decided to create my own business on the internet, I was extremely fortunate to discover you and your products, in the first few months.

(In fact, my very first purchase of an online product was your Copywriting course, which has delivered over and over again, right up to the present day!)

In the years since then, I’ve purchased a number of your other products as well, and they also over-delivered, in many, many ways.

Needless to say, I am a **VERY** happy customer.

Perhaps, just as importantly, I am a huge fan of yours!

Over the years, I have made it a priority to model MY “business mindset” to follow YOURS, and the benefits of doing so have been huge, to say the least.

For years now – thanks to you – I have made (1) “giving back”, (2) “over-delivering”, and (3) “having fun” the three main goals of all of my online and offline business endeavors.

It never ceases to amaze me just how important it is to my success that I made that crucial decision to establish those three goals, and to continue to keep them as the core principles of my online businesses.

And **THAT** is what is the TRUE value of your video really is.

    Will it win an Oscar?

No, I don’t think it will. BUT, that is NOT the point.

Does it matter that it is a “PowerPoint-type slide show”, as opposed to an
    actual video?

No, it doesn’t matter a bit, and again, that is NOT the point.

What **IS** the point is the CONTENT of the video and what you say in the video, and just how important that has been to your own success, as well as to the success of those such as myself, as well as the countless other customers you have that feel the same way about you, your family and the immensely valuable products you create!

From the very depths of my being, I want to say “Thank you!” for all that you have done – and will continue to do – to make the online marketing world the very best that it can be!!

Looking forward to the 6th, because I already KNOW it will be GREAT!

    -Ken

    * Wow- that’s awesome Ken. I love hearing about things like this. – Y.S. *

    nice words mate,
you really hit the nail right on the head. You have a great attitude to business and more importantly life.
I’ll be watching this one again!

  96. Hamza Says:

Great message Yanik in addition to continuing to move the free line marketing approach! In reference to your kayaking example, some friends and I were hang gliding at Lookout Mountain last month. During the event, my mind kept going back to “things to do at the office.” I thoroughly enjoyed myself once I “lived in the moment.” I guess that’s totally The Power of Full Engagement. It could also be the Oprah referenced book The Power of Now otherwise known as A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. It’s a must read if you haven’t done so yet. Thanks again!

  97. Greg Writer Says:

Yanik I am thankful for entrepreneurs like you that truly have the heart to give. I love it and I look forward to being a continued student of your marketing advice.

  98. Charles Pinelli Says:

Yanik the MORE that the Maverick Entreprenuer stands for is the bottom line. It’s hard to give MORE of your time for work, family, volunteering, yourself and then get your needed rest to start it all over again. I see that the MORE will give you MORE time at everything that you want to achieve and do with less stress!!!! The MORE value you bring to everyone else that you come into contact with will get MORE enjoyment out of life be it fun, knowledge, money or time. I just got myself a website up and running and I want to get about 3-5 more sites up and running before the end of 2009 but with different products (maybe information and Health). Everyone could use a blueprint or a mentor to leap frog that learning curve because as you stated you really don’t know how long you will be here and life’s to short NOT TO LIVE IT BY YOUR RULES (wish I was thinking that in my 20′s)! I first heard of you from “The Millionaire Maker” and his NO BS newsletter. I always wanted to take my entire family on a vacation all together and on me(I believe with the MORE I could). Plus, one of my friends got paralyzed and later started a business helping paralyzed children learn how to water and snow ski up in Winter Park. I would LOVE to help him MORE financially and to show these children that they can make a living on the internet by themselves (probably might need your help) and be independent. Not to mention my entire family again. I would LOVE to be a testimonial for you on the MORE. Everything I heard you state in the video I can relate too. I better go. Always wishing everyone the best!!! Charles P.

    “Video Robs Everyone.”

    Why?

I’m interested in hearing WIFM (What’s In It For Me). Not WIFYanik.

So what’s so special about his kickass birthday party for me? I do not need vicarious living.

I want my own life and look for mentors to help me get there. Not braggarts about their life.

I’ve heard Yank talk before at Dan Kennedy events. Same presentation

    Repeatition gets old.

The Video rambles with no clear defined purpose. I’m want to hear the key points up front and then supporting evidence. And, I want those key points to benefit ME.

James has more to offer. James, your a 1st class guy. Look, and you will find something inside better than Yanik.

And, I agree with …Kim Says: November 3rd, 2008 at 12:34 pm comment above.

    Yanik,
Wonderful video as always – Love the photos! Nice to see the human side of you ;-)

You are financially where I hope to be someday real soon. Yes I would love to fly into space -I’m a Scifi nut would be a dream come true ;-)

……but even more so I would like to help save small comunities from becoming exstinct. Over the past few years I’ve seen schools, clinics and businesses close. The homeless rate rise and families living in deteriorated shelters, etc…

I know how much I would seriously need to live on and that wont be much and the rest I want to go to 3 different areas 1 locally, 2 nationally, 3 globally to any human who is in need of anything – food, shelters, medical etc..

My personal goal is to be able to live on only 10% and give 90% back. May sound like a pipe dream but hey why not?! Guess that’s what happens when you’re named after Mother Theresa. :-D

Here’s to implementing what you’ve taught me…Can’t wait to learn more!!

Thanks again Yanik for being such an inspiration!

  105. Philip Wong Says:

    Hello Yanik.

Though I’ve heard and seen your name on many occasions (mostly on testimonials), this is the very first time I’ve actually gotten on to your list.

The things you mentioned aren’t new, it’s just your perspective on life and business, though it serves as a good reminder nevertheless.

More money amplifies who you are was mentioned by many people, though I can’t remember who said it first.

The Legal Pad is one item I’ve seen mentioned not too long ago by Ed Dale (of Immediate Edge).

The “breakthroughs that occur when you get deeper into the answers” were mentioned by John Carlton.

The 3 Ways to Maximise Revenue has often been repeated by Jay Abraham.

I have the Tony Schwartz-Jim Loehr book sitting in my library – been a long while since I re-read that. The Energy Management from it has been mentioned by Eben Pagan recently in his Wake Up Productive course.

So if you’re mentioning it now, then these items must mean something.

I have been doing the Have + Add More Fun things and Give Back More with No Brainer in my daily life. That’s probably why I have less stress than my better half who works the corporate ladder. The Add More Fun is also more difficult for Asians to handle than Westerners due to culture. Zaniness isn’t quite an Asian trait. I guess you can say that I have had cross cultural influences.

I like the Document It process. That’s something I could work on in my projects.

I have one small question though – were you always Having More Fun and Adding More Fun _before_ you made it big or after?

To meet you in person is now on my Big List. Thank you for sharing.

    * Philip, yeah always working fun into my life – just on a different level based on income (for the experiences money could buy). – Y.S. *

  106. David Says:

Question to ask!! Why do most Internet marketers completely ignore Newbie’s on the net ??? They will not even reply to an Email or tell us the real secrets on how they got started and what we should do, All they are interested in is selling us something.

  107. Richard van Beek Says:

    Yanik,

This is always the hard part, how do you start with giving a comment about a video you saw and took about more then one hour to watch. I just turned 40 and all my life I was giving to others. I was a physiotherapist in the professional soccer world (I am from The Netherlands and soccer is sport number 1, it’s immense popular here), did things always just a slightly different then 90% of the other colleagues in the field and that was the main reason many people came to my practice. I learned my fundementals, but went outside the box for more into depth studies about the human body, nutrition, mindset, foodsupplements and this list can go on and on. I worked 60+ houres a week, working parttime at the club and working in my own practice. Gave a 110% of what I had, but forgot one thing, my family… To make a long story short, 2 years ago I entered the field of online marketing and discovered a whole new approach of making money, helping people and spending more time with my family. 2 months ago I left my job (last year I already stopped the practice), because it didn’t feel right anymore in the egocentric soccerworld. And it’s a challenge to pay the mortgage and other bills, but I am free now, I hope to have a business that makes more money every month, gives me more fun and gives back more…by setting up and writing my own rules just as what I’ve done when I became a successful physiotherapist.

With this video Yanik, I am on the right path… Many thanks for that!!!

    Richard van Beek

  108. Kev Says:

    Great concepts!

Giving back is truly a mark of a person.

If it’s not fun then why do it?

Make more needs focus, I agree with the distractions, does not take long to get wrapped up in things that take the focus away on important goals.

Fantastic Big List of goals and taking action to meet those goals.

Look forward to seeing how this works out

    Cheers

    Kev

  109. Beverly Kim Says:

    Hi Yanik
Your name keeps popping up in my life from various sources, so when your video appeared in my in-box, I took the time to watch it. Your philosophy, although not new to me, was simply and sincerely presented.

I’m 61 and gave up a comfortable job to do my own thing and have more fun. Recently I launched my on-line business. Yesterday I had a ‘down’ day as sales are going slow. Your video came at The Right Time as it lifted me up and reminded me what my purpose is in life (whatever amount I have left).

I was feeling I had been working so hard and getting nowhere but of course this is wrong. My time investment now will produce results later…and I am having so much FUN now….
    Thank you.

  110. Stan Scott Says:

    Yanik,

You express in this video ideas I have heard and practiced for most of my life. Following them has become more difficult in recent years, after a couple of business failures, but I am not one to give up.

You asked the question in one slide, “What did you enjoy as a kid?” I recently asked what niche do I want to develop in my next blog? The answer came as something I enjoyed as a youngster. So far, my investigation indicates it will be a profitable niche, a fun niche, and one which will allow for giving pleasure to youngsters such as I once was. There is a bit more research to be done, but I will begin putting the new blog together within two weeks.

I felt your question, in the context of your presentation, was a sort of validation for my idea. Thank you.

  111. Gary Says:

The Maverik Lifestyle is for me.I’ve been missing my vacations for one reason or another. I can’t wait to see what Yanik has to offer.

  112. Shannon Herod Says:

    Hey Yanik,

Fantastic video. It’s amazing how some things just speak to you. It was like you actually made that video for me. It’s crazy.

There is a little bit of a story that goes along with why I related so much to your video. I hope you don’t mind me telling it here…

On September 11, 2007 my father passed away at the tender age of just 49 from lung cancer. I had been trying to start an online business since 2002, but never took the time to actually concentrate on that business or take any time for myself or my family.

I was working in sales so I was working on average 70 hours per week. Then coming home and fiddling around on the Internet pretending like I was trying to start a business.

But, in reality I was just playing around and wasting time. I was never taking time for my family nor was I making strides to improve myself. I was basically just going through the motions. Living life like a drone.

When my father passed my life changed. I made a promise I would no longer live life without any meaning. I made a promise to my family that I would spend more time with them and we would have more fun. I made a promise to myself that I would no longer dabble on the Internet, but build an actual business.

I set a goal to quit my full-time job and be full-time on the Internet by October 19, 2008. That was my 29th birthday. Unfortunately, I missed that goal. Ended up with my job until October 29. :-) I was about 10 days late but I did reach my goal.

Not only that but while I was building my business was working less and less at my job, and spending more and more time with my family. I would not go to work until I took my son to daycare myself.

My son actually expected me to be there when he woke up, and expected me to be there when he got out of daycare. If I was not there he would ask where I was. It was a great feeling to know that my son expected me to be home when he woke up. Unfortunately, most people cannot say that.

As to giving back… well, my father was the type of man that gave continuously. He was very selfless. If somebody needed help he was there to help them. He was the type of person that would give the shirt off of his back. Fortunately, I have always had some of those traits. But, I was not as giving as my father. Well, I made a promise to my father the day we laid him to rest that I would continue giving the way he gave. I have made it my personal goal to help whenever I can. If there something I can do I try to do it.

I have found the more I help people the more I get. That’s not selfish statement, but a true statement. I do not help people to get things in return, but it seems to work out that way. The more I give the more I get. It is actually an amazing phenomenon.
It is amazing to see the testimonials that commonly come in when you create new products that actually help people. It is just an amazing feeling.

I’m nowhere close to where I need to be, but I will never live life like a drone again. My life will always be filled with purpose and I will always be moving forward. I will always be giving and I will always be spending time with my family and doing the things I love. There is no promise for tomorrow, so live life today like it is your last.

Thanks again Yanik for reminding me of why I get up and do what I do everyday. You’re an amazing person and entrepreneur. Keep up the great work!

  113. David Hawke Says:

The video is great. I’m sure the Maverick Business Insider will be as well. It sounds like your philosophies are the same as my own, yours are more refined and I appreciate your insight on them. You’re a positive influence in a very negative world, we’ve not met yet but one day I hope I can call you a friend, it is important to surround yourself with the positive aspects of life and have positive people in it.

This video alone can be a great help for people to realize what is possible with work but more importantly just the power we each have inside of us.

There is no competition mentioned in your video, also a huge lesson to be learned there there really in no competition other than what we bring on ourselves.

On a side note; I envy your trip to Necker Island and meeting Richard Branson too. He is most definitely the person I most want to meet, meeting him at Necker Island will put that meeting right over the top.

Thanks again for the video I look forward to the rest!

  114. Charles Pinelli Says:

PS: By the way I almost forgot that was excellent content Yanik sounds like a homerun. Keep it up!!!

  115. Jeremy Reeves Says:

    Wow that video was incredible.

In today’s society of “more work is better” – that really hits home with a lot of people.

Is there a way to draw the line between too much work and not enough? What I’m asking is…how do you know when to take a break from work and go do something more fun?

Also, I love how you talked about what Earl Nightengale said (I heard about that in “Lead The Field”) about how you should use a notepad and just kind of brainstorm different ideas.

Although I don’t do that enough, I realized I needed to keep a paper and pen with me at all times. I have them all around my house, in my car, etc. because a lot of times I get great ideas while I’m driving, making lunch and other kind of boring situations.

I honestly think your solution that you proposed in the video is the thing that’s needed in this world. People work too hard which causes stress, which makes them work less efficiently which makes them LESS money to donate.

Just like you made that circle, there’s also the opposite circle if someone DOESN’T follow what you outlined.

Thanks for that incredible video – I’ve always been jealous of the fun you have! :)

Sounds like a really good program and I am interested in hearing more.
One thing , though . 67 minutes is a little too long .I know it is free and good info but could you shorten things a little for the next time .
I am a single dad and I only have a limited amount of time for the internet…I’m not complaining about the info…just the time .
This is not 80 percent of my time , but a good chunk of it .
No offense , but I don’t need your life story , that is not good time management for me .
There , I just wrote another comment that won’t get published .
    Thanks for your time

  117. Aleta Haas Says:

I enjoyed the video! I hardly noticed it length; I just took notes and internalized the concepts.
    Thanks.

  118. E Bruce Says:

Ann commented on the quality of the presentation to which Yanik answered: ” [quote] Well, it was off-the-cuff. Not a Hollywood production here. [end quote] “

You missed Ann’s point, Yanik. Just because someone does not create a “Hollywood production” does not mean that this gives carte blanche for a poor or shoddy or off-the-cuff production. The more professional the presentation the greater the likelihood that the message will be better internalized and understood.

While I do not doubt that you know your field incredibly well, I feel that oftentimes individuals such as yourself overlook very important details and what Ann mentioned happens to be one of those important details.

All the best as always and like all the others, I hope to win one of the Maverick Business Insider package sets.

Considering the fact that I am an single parent entrepreneur raising a child with Autism as well as a very rare, complex, hereditary auto-immune disorder without government assistance, I think that your package may be a very valuable tool for my business.

    E Bruce

    * It is a good point and not discounting it. I am working on a cooler version but instead of waiting to get everything perfect – I’d rather get it out now and create an impact for people – Y.S. *

  119. Geoffrey Monical Says:

    Great Stuff.

I share your thoughts about so many things when it comes to life and the choices we make. It is truly all about personal choice and taking action.

That said, I am yet to take action. Don’t know if I’m scared or what, but keep making excuses. Can’t do that any more though, it is just not an option.

One of the goals on my Big LIFE list: Be a part of Maverick Business Adventures! I plan to get personally invited to one of your private events based on my creation of my life of abundance that has more money, more fun and more giving.

    Thanks for everything.

  120. Doug T Says:

    Yanik,

As always your videos and performances inspire new thought and generate new ideas. Your big list is very cool. It has inspired me to start my own list. Even put I want to dance the haka with the All Blacks on it. Every time I see it I get pumped up. Your book recommendations are the best. BTW on your rendition of Blister in the Sun, I must agree with Missy. Your singing sucked. Doesn’t make sense because you have a great speaking voice. Add some singing lessons to your big list? But as long as you had fun that’s all that matters. I wish you continued success and hope to see you at next years underground.

    Peace,
    Doug T

  121. Brenda Poulsen Says:

Hey Yanik…I agree with you on living a larger than life life. Why twiddle your thumbs when you can wave your arms and jump up and down?! And that was the way I lived my life up until three years ago.
My husband died and I could tell when you were talking about your Mom that you know what deep and painful grief feels like. I shattered like fine crystal dropped on a tile floor. A lifetime of beliefs gone as well as who I thought I was, had become, developed into, etc.
Last spring I realised I NEEDED to have a better life than I have had these past couple years since my husband died. But the rebuilding of my life has proven to be very difficult.
The sense of fun and enjoyment has just left me. I miss it like I would miss my right hand as it was so much a part of me before. A friend of mine told me that he has never known anyone to have as much fun as I did. It has proven to be a difficult task to find that place in me again.
I guess what I am saying here is I know that I am the only one that can glue my pieces together again. But I think I am looking for the pieces that just disappeared. You know what I am talking about…drop a bowl and you try to glue it back together but you can see the little chips left from the tiny fragments that just vanished! That is where I am at now I think.
And this pertains to my sense of wholeness as myself as well as getting my business direction again. We, Ole and I, had started working the internet but then…well you know what happened. I could not cope. I was emotionally paralysed and that reflected and still does to some extent into all the other areas of my life.
And now to top it off, my credit card has been shut down temporarily. What the hell is happening???
So I don’t have the ability to order the package but hope that in the near future that I can. Do you think you package cna help me find those little pieces, or at least give me a good idea where to look for them so I can begin to be whole again.
I really don’t like being the cracked bowl that leaks!-)
I loved the video. I loved your ideas about life. I love that you are who you are. Thanks!

  122. Brenda Poulsen Says:

I forgot…as for giving back…always have. There have been times when I showed up on a friends doorstep for a few days just when they needed help. I am not afraid to give.
And my husband was like that too so we did a lot with the neighbours kids (even though we don’t have any), I work at a 24/7 handicap insitution in Denmark right now and love every moment of being there. I was in the service industry for all my working years but funny thing was that I never felt like I was working.
I have had a lifelong belief that if you feel like you are working at a job then you better quit and find something you enjoy. I have earned money but I have never had a JOB.
Quick story…when I ownes my hair salon in the Yukon I would have a give-a-way at Christmas. I had my customers, the kids, draw and paint Christmas decorations for me that I would put up with anything from 10 to 50 % off of whatever service my customer had. But there was always 3 or 4 that would have free on the back.
A lady had her hair done for xmas and she had the whole shabang…cut…curls…color. She picked a free!!! I was more excited than she was I think. She wanted to give it back and I said no cause they support me year round and I just wanted to say thank you. I was a hoot!
I help where I can and when I can cause believe that we all can use a little help once in a while.
So in one area of my life I am okay I guess. Anyway, thanks again and hope we will meet one day. You are on my list!

  123. Dr. Vincente Calderon Says:

You have captured the essense of what many find appealing, and done so in a way that draws an obvious attraction, which seems to be the key to everything i have see so far. Is it all for the show? I this all what it takes to come out on top, and if so does all of your years of experience really get transcended with the application of your principals?

Never is the teacher to be out shined by the student unless the student is ready to overturn the master….48 laws of power make this evident. My point is where does this leave your “students”?

    Thank you for your content.

  124. Scott Says:

Yanik, What you said made so much sense. It was common sense yet most folks do not take the time nor the effort to think about it. The more you give, the more you get. It is a universal law. I wish others would understand this one principal alone. It is kind of like tithing… if you give you will get. I am really stoked about what you will bring to the table with this new program and will be glued to my computer tomorrow to take advantage of it. Thanks for sharing this great information. (BTW he shared it with no expectation that anyone would purchase it… you see how the principle works?) Keep up the good work

  125. Cary Says:

Hey Yanik – you’re awesome – I loved Underground, and I so appreciate your ongoing inspiration – keep it up!!!

You got a really interesting personality my friend. I really get a kick outa watching your videos. Not only are your videos NOT boring… but they’re unbelievably informational.

I’ve learned so much from you already I think it’s kinda unfair… cause I haven’t paid for any of the information! But no worries… I know eventually I’ll buy something! hehe

Great job man… keep up the fantastic work. A lot of people look up to you… I know cause I’m one of them.

I thank also to all other competitors of this discussion for their speeches!

  128. Steven Says:

    Yanik,

I was fascinated with the outsourcing statement you made about running a multimillion dollar company and you don’t know anything about website building.

How did you go through that process.

    Steven

    * It’s a bigger answer than I stick in here in 1 paragraph. But stay tuned – this might be a special bonus. Y.S.*

  129. Steve O Says:

    Hi Yanik,

Thanks for the video. I got a lot out of it because you made me think.

They say great coaches ask great questions, and you asked “How can I add more value to my customers?”. I was up half the night brainstorming on that one, I’ve got a bunch of ideas and I was up again at 3am to start implementing them.

Kudos on reminding us of the importance of giving back too. And you’re right, if you just set it up to be an automatic deduction you just never think about it again. Same goes for savings plans too I might add – you look back months later and you’ve given thousands to charity and put thousands in your bank account (or maybe hundreds of thousands in your case!) – and you never even noticed the money missing.

I love the idea of a Big List too, and top of MY Big List as of right now is to create a business big enough to qualify to join Maverick Business Adventures so I can join you in terrorizing the world dressed as Elvis!! :^)

    All the best

  130. Jon Lutz Says:

Thank you so much for the video. I took handwritten notes on printer paper from my computer printer (almost 6 pages, front and back of printer paper). I was riveted to the video, particularly the part about Giving Back More.

I agree wholeheartedly that if you cannot give back 100% of what you get out of life (whether it be money, time, caring, or more), what’s the use in trying to be successful.

One of the Biggest items that caught my attention in the video was the 5 ways to motivate yourself and shatter excuses. I haven’t really thought up to this point to Go Public and tell others, because in the past when I did this, I found that people whom I knew, whether family, friends, or people I cared about, shot me down, and said “why don’t you go get a regular job.” I’ve always had the entrepreneurial spirit.

I never thought about Making A Bet with someone to prove that I could achieve something BIG, particularly in business, or fun, or giving back, not just to win the bet with them, but also to prove to myself that I could achieve the goal, whether making money, having fun, or giving back more.

I’ve never thought about coming up with a Big Enough Reason-why I’ve wanted to achieve a big dream or goal in business, having fun, or giving back more.

I’ve also very rarely wrote down a Must-Hit Deadline, but I am from now on, after watching this video.

And I’ve never really considered Documenting Something I’ve done, whether making money, having fun, or giving back more, to show myself I did it, and others too, so that they may be motivated to do something similar, if they see me doing it.

I look forward, and am really excited to begin working with The MaverickBusiness Adventure!! I can see that Yanik really, really cares, and is passionate about all 3 areas, Making More $, but also Having Fun doing it, NOT having it be a chore or a burden, and also Giving More Back, to help and guide others.

  131. Mark Says:

    Wow – great video ;)

Hehe, seriously Yanik, the video was great and as usual you give a great presentation without all the glorified special effects the mainstream thinks it needs. We all know you have enough money to hire out the best of video directors/editors but you like to teach all of us that the message is the most important thing..

And the message in this video is very clear. Get off your butt and do something! Nothing happens without doing and you’ve proven to us that things can be done while having fun!

I’ve met you at a few events and we’ve even shared a drink or two. What I most admired about you is your sincerity in helping people and actually listening to us and our needs without any hopes of anything in return :) You truly practice what you preach and your success clearly shows that.

It’s also rare to hear someone share so much of their personal life to their audeince and the story about your loss before your first Underground event…wow, most people would have crumbled under that kind of stress but you stuck to your commitment especially since many people were counting on you. Can I admire you any more?

Yanik, the way you live your life is one I am aspiring to achieve. To enjoy your business as well as your life. Every time I catch myself on the computer for hours at a time I think of what you were talking about on the presentation…that we only have one life. I don’t want to be wasting it front of a computer when I could be taking a hike or zipping around on a motorcycle with my knee down in every corner!

Having leverage points that we can focus on would be amazing and I’m sure I can speak for my fellow entrepreneurs, we’re very grateful you’re giving us a chance to have access to them. Thanks for the inspiration. You are a Maverick!

  132. Joe Says:

Great video! However, I don’t know exactly what your selling or getting us to understand. It sounds good and I’ll be there on NOV 6. What about the Cd package that all we had to do is pay shipping? I didn’t see anymore on that either.

    See you tomorrow!

  133. Twenty Twenty Says:

    Yanik,

    Solid GOLD as usual mate.

I love your simple, straightforwrd, and no bs approach to business and life.

    Keep it up!

  134. Thomas C. Roquemore Says:

    Hey Yanik,
Over and over I see things, such as the things in your video, that directly corelate with the Holy Bible. As you say, so am I not a deeply religious man, but I am spiritual. You say, what you give to others will return to you many times over, the Bible says what you give will be returned to you 10 fold times ten. There are many others, but I don’t want to get preachy on you. I look forward to hearing more from you on Thursday and in the future. I have worked with people that have bad attitudes and many excuses not to succeed. One of the excuses I hear often is that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. While it is true in many cases the rich do get richer, but it is because they take the right actions to do so. And some poor do get poorer because they keep doing the same things that keep them poor. The poor, at least in this country, have every opportunity to join the ranks of the rich. All they have to do is learn from the rich, then take the same actions to get there. Too many times I hear people complaining about never getting anywhere because they are being held back. The problem is, they blame others instead of realizing the only thing holding them back is themselves, doing the same things day after day and expecting different results. WAKE UP, change your actions and change your results. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! Not, Do unto others then hold out your hand and expect a handout!!
There I go, getting preachy. Loved the video, love the attitude, keep it up!

  135. Mary Crawford Says:

    Yanik,
I need to listen to this over and over. I want all my team members to listen also. I want my kids to hear this stuff. I love the clarity of your presentation and the interlinking circles of money, fun and giving. Your discussion on how one doesn’t necessarily precede the other hit home for me.
I’ll be sending this link to people I care about, and just hope they listen to it.

    Be well and thank you.

  136. Matthew Detrick Says:

    Hi Yanik,

    What’s good today?

I am grateful for you getting the word out about having more FUN in everything we do.

I wish I saw this video about a year ago…

…now it’s just what I needed to hear.

A message you shared, which spoke to me was the entire underlying message of living, marketing, sharing, BE-ing from our authentic selves. See, I didn’t really *get* that until recently.

Listen, I had this message deep within my core about mining our inner gold, because someone out there needs what we have. Though it always came across as chasing the money or getting someone else to do something for me when that wasn’t my intention at all. Chasing a fallacy is what brought me to bankruptcy… man, even my soul was bankrupt.

Your video helped me to realize that marketing our inner gold is a true reflection of divine energy. Whatever divine energy means for everyone out there, all I know and trust in is that I am love.

After all, isn’t that what all our products and services bring out on some level?

    An experience/outcome of love.

While my credit is in a crunch momentarily (and I accept full responsibility for creating it) your offer is out of reach even at shipping costs. I’ll never know unless I ask; may I have one of five you are giving away.

If you want to throw rocks at me for asking, go ahead. All I know is that not asking, reaching out to other loving spirits cut me off from the very source of energy that created us.

Be ready for my gifts to all who will receive.

And thank you Yanik, for massaging my heart today.

    Be well.

    Sincerely,

    Matthew Detrick

  137. Chris Brisson Says:

    Hey Yanik,

Great video dude! Here’s some of the ways that I’ve implemented your Maverick concepts. First off, I also made a quick video on how I’ve used your concepts in business, relationships, and health. :)

    http://www.viddler.com/explore/chrisbrisson/videos/18/

How I use the 5 ways to motivate yourself:

This is by far the most powerful concept that has helped me in many aspects of life. In business, this is my “getting started” checklist for any project, relationship, health, product, client work, or pretty much anything.

Here’s my comment on your post:
    http://www.internetlifestyle.com/blog/?p=255#comment-2779

By using these concepts, I was able to create a product in 30 days (set a deadline) that has gone onto to make an easy 5-figures per year on autopilot.

I use these concepts for my health. To motivate myself to workout, I go public, I set a deadline, i make a bet with my girlfriend (pink thongs suck!), and in the end document it and profit from it. I’m in the midst of creating another product based on my workout results and experience.

    The Power of Giving:

    As Albert Einstein says:
“The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving.” With your Maverick Insider, it’s not all about how to make money, but how to give, how to help people, and essentially…

how to bring a smile to people’s faces.

I’m really looking forward to learning more than just “how to make money”, but the core concepts of truly becoming a maverick.

After watching your video on your trips and life, I realized that having fun is really the real reason I’m in business anyway. So I really can’t wait to learn these unique concepts to start applying and truly learning how to have fun, live life, love life, give back, and have a freaking blast while making money!

Thanks Yanik for the contest :)

    Cheers,

    Chris

** Chris – that’s awesome. I’ll be at ETR’s conf on Monday and some of Tue of next week. Maybe I’ll see you there. Marriott – Del Ray Beach. Come by. * *

    Hi Yanik

Great Stuff! I’ve been a “secret disciple” of yours for about 6 months now (I must’ve listened to your interview with Tim Ferriss at least a hundred times now!) and love your insights on “the lifestyle!” I’ve been telling my friends and family to subscribe to your blog and listen to your stuff, but all I get is “Yanik? Yanik who?” But, I’ll keep bugging them to “take the red pill” for their sake.

I’m a new online business owner and I’ve subscribed to your philosphies wholeheartedly!!! You know – have fun, make profits, be grateful and give back – it is possible to be all of that!

After living my entire life under the delusion that working for someone else and that working until retiring at age 65 was my destiny, somehow I knew there was something better out there for me. So I bought your Underground videos and have begun implementing some of the things I’ve learned. While I’m not to the point where I can quit my day job just yet, I know it’s just a matter of time!

As for the fun part, although I’m not at the level where I can qualify for Maverick Business Adventures (yet) I have scheduled an adventure of my own in the Carribean later this month. Hopefully that will inspire me to really build my business so I can join the you and the other Mavericks!

Anyway keep up the great and inspiring work and hope to be at one of your events in the near future.

Thanks so much for replying to my comment. I was surprised actually.

  140. Deborah Bishop Says:

Yanick, after listening to your presentation and taking furious notes, I discovered a couple of things that really stood out. First, I have lost that “FUN” in my life. I have had my head down looking for opportunities and working on 3 projects trying to increase my abundance so I can retire in 2 years. It is taking a toll on me and my relationships. I agree that just getting away from it all and having fun is what I am missing. I do enjoy the ocean and live very close to it. I love nature and it is everywhere…all FREE! I realized that I have to stop focusing all my free time on the computer and trying so hard to be successful. Sometimes just experiencing and enjoying life is the most rewarding experience you can. I do realize time is short, time is the master as you have no control of it, can’t stop the hands of time, and once the day passes, it is something you can never get back.
Secondly, I realized that I am trying too hard to be an “expert” in all this internet marketing stuff. I need to stop studying, stop trying to wait for money to invest in various internet strategies, and just start, just take action, do something. Write a blog, an article, anything just to get something going, something accomplished.
Lastly, I got to the end of your inspiring presentation and noticed the time of the November 6 event, and my heart fell. I am on the West Coast, and unfortunately at 1:30 p.m. ET, I will be at work, and at that time, will be in the middle of a class that I am scheduled to conduct at my 9-5. There is just no way I can be present. I would love the get your free materials as I believe the knowledge you have to impart will help me change my perspective and approach to my business and life plans. I do believe that when the student is ready the teacher appears. I had so many emails, and was just going to try to delete and organized them, but decided to open yours. It was meant for me to hear your words. So, although I can’t be present tomorrow, someday, someway, somehow, I will receive this information you are so graciously offering.
Good luck in your future endeavors. You are blessed because of what you do for others, and I will look for future emails from you. Who knows maybe it is in the stars for us to meet one day.

    Thanks, DJ

  141. The Internet Marketing Idea guy Says:

    Hi Yanik,

Always great to listen to you lay out the ‘meaning’ of life. :)

It’s great you’re touching on having more fun and giving more back.

I particularly liked the 5 ways to motivate yourself… also guarding ones most valuable time… knowing your own ‘creative’ time… making up your own rules… learning how important it is to give, etc etc.

Not settling for an ordinary life… is a theme that can resonate with hundreds of thousands of people… It’ll be a pretty amazing world when we’re all living our fullest potential… in tune with nature… the possibilities are mind blowing.

Also it’s good you talk about the importance of recharging and renewing… I think we’re forgetting that in our pursuit of more… It’s good you bring it up.

And finally… Outsource what you suck at. :)

It’s brilliant stuff brother… Well done!

    Martin

  142. Derek Wilson Says:

    Hi Yanik
Your video is right on the button, and has definitely motivated me to adopt some of the inspiration that you have shared. What I found from listening to the content of the video was that I clearly need to schedule more “Fun” in my daily schedule and develop the conscious art of asking the “right” questions that will make a difference in the quality and effectiveness of my life. I have lived a very good life and although 63 years of age, I am very well blessed to have a youthful and fun loving attitude to life.

I am also well blessed to have a very supportive wife who has had to experience the agony and the ecstasy of my “artistic” and entrepreneurial spirit. Like many others, I have, created significant debt in my pursuit of excellence, and my dear wife and I are still paying the price for my determination to build a successful internet business. I have a great respect for Jim Edwards and I am really excited and thankful that I watched the webinar with Jim and yourself today.
In summary, I listened intently to your video tonight, and there were certainly a few “ah-ha” moments for me. The most important aspect that I gained much from was the aspect regarding not waiting fcr the time when we can be the “authority” … but to take action and have the confidence to take control of positioning ourselves to be the expert, to give “Value” and to be more proactive.

I have vision to create a sincere and powerful website presence and to give quality content which covers “Health, Wealth and Happiness” … which I believe is very much in line with the philosophy and sincerity which is evident from your video. I look forward to learning more from your membership program, and by applying the strategies that you will share, I believe that in the end my family and my business will flourish.

Like most relative “newbies” my current ‘default’ mode of action has slipped into a type of mental frustration, leaving little time for quality lifestyle where I can make a ‘real’ difference in the lives of others.
Through your mentoring and guidance I believe that I will overcome my substantial indebtedness and succeed with the vision I have for success in developing my internet business.
Thanks Yanik …. Looking forward to receiving your material.

    Regards
    Derek Wilson.

I stumbled on this by chance, folowing a link posted on Twitter by Barefoot_executive and I have to say I was well pleased that I did. A great video which gave a lot more than most and has definitely made me a Yanik Silver fan.

Seen the name around all over the place, but somehow never took the time to check you out. (My loss it would seem).

Looking forward to ordering the Maverick Busines insider, and a big thankyou again to the @Barefoot_executive for leading me to the water.

    Pete Moring.

  144. Faith Says:

Thanks, Yanik, for re-reminding me of the basics of life…create value, enjoy people, look for new ways to give. I so often am caught up in the mundane “have to’s” (like dishes and laundry and …) and forget what is really important – laughing with my girls, watching them learn, learning with them, being excited when Daddy comes home, playing games, having friends over for dinner. None of this costs me anything extra except a little more awareness and focus from me so I live in the moment – instead of all the 1001 things I think I should be working at!

Thank you for validating the “Leapfrog Theory”. I have believed this in my soul for years and so many around me have laughed at my suggestion of it. Time for me to act on my belief in myself as a true expert in my area. I am saying I’m a “stay-at-home, work-at-home mom”…the best of all worlds for me and my family!

    Enjoy your kids today!
    Faith

  145. Henry Robinson Says:

    Yanik,

It’s clear that you believe in the power that lurks within every individual. For some it’s on the surface or they are already manifesting it every day; for others, they may have to probe deeper to realize the paradigm shift that you want people to make.

The collective thinking of great entrepreneurial minds is one room must be amazing! I’d love to be a part of one of your BIG events with 7-figure earners. That was me two years ago in international real estate. Unfortunately, I gave it all back, plus some, due to the current state of economy and real estate. You should make room for one more in the category of “amazing creative mind and formerly wealthy, now broke but rebuilding through internet marketing!”

Thanks for the high-powered, triple expresso shot of motivation!

  146. Arthur Says:

My Time Management skills are non-existent.

E-mail in the morning… Yep, that’s me! And it DOES screw up the rest of my day.

My motivation, which already was in deep trouble, is now totally shot.
Others I’ve shared my plans with either have beat me down … or just stolen the life from me.

    I NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP!

Or at least a good swift kick in the butt… or perhaps several! :-)

I want to have fun again.

  147. Michelle Says:

Loved it. Had trouble to start off with loading video, re-loaded some plug-ins -voila! Your approach is simple & direct, you get to the heart of the matter. Forget the Law of Attraction – this goes beyond thinking your way to the top, you give practical vision & insight with no pretension. Your subject matter is believeable & achievable through balance & down to earth application. Presentation needs to be tightened up slightly, a bit of waffling here & there, which even though was entertaining, wasn’t pertinent to subject matter. Although, upon reflection, overall feeling was that you live what you speak. I felt that you were talking to me, not at me, & that made it easy to hear what you had to say, & to connect with the underlying current of truth. Heck, you’ve crystallised in a short presentation what I’ve spent too much time pursuing in terms of both money & time. Where were you 20 years ago?

  148. Teresa Says:

Thanks for this great video. I appreciated the useful information and your way of looking at things. I can see myself using the information in my online business and my other goals in life not related necessarily to making money.

  149. Kimberly Smith Says:

Thank you for a very inspirational message which gives me hope today. I just experienced a devastating financial setback, and I have to figure out how to make $400 7 days per week to be ok financially, and I have to do it FAST! Thank you for giving me some positivity today! I needed that!

  150. Tiffany Bell Says:

I’ve watched the video and it amazes me how a few simple tips is all it takes to put things into perspective–things begin to line up. I can see why people pay thousands of dollars to be present in an environment that grows their ability to think freely, openly and gives you confidence to take those ideas and make them tangible. Thank you for what yu do.

  151. Sarah Says:

    Yanik,
I found this the most inspiring presentation in a long time. Working so hard to try to succeed can be so unhealthy and counter-productive. I really appreciate the parts about energy management and balancing the three equally important circles of your efforts. It’s really true that all three aspects are intertwined. Ultimately, everything is for the best, so we SHOULD be happy no matter what. But, sometimes we have to get the ball rolling by doing stunts to be happy, thereby breaking the bad habit of dwelling on sadness. Then, when a person is in a happy frame of mind, he can be much more creative and ingenious, thereby finding solutions to problems in order to reach a deeper happiness. In the same way, we see that many times, if one pledges to charity before actually having the money, that amount and more suddenly appears! In addition, there is more happiness for both the giver and the receiver. It was was very clever of you to recognize such a pattern. Surely, all the charity that you give will honor your mother’s memory. I am so sorry that you had to get up from “shiva” to attend the planned event. I wish you continued success in all that you do.

    Sarah

  152. Bev Says:

    Hi from Colorado!
I’m secretary of my Rotary Club, which is full of people who put “Service Above Self,” With your permission, I’d love to do one line quotes from your video on our weekly reminders list. We all need encouragement and thoughts to think about. Thanks for all you do and passing it forward. Life is Great no matter what your age!

    * Bev, sure go ahead. -Y.S. *

  153. Ron Says:

    Hello Yanik,
The information and principles you’ve hilighted are an encouragement and a drink of water to a very thirsty soul. I have been searching for a change to get away from a line of work that I have been self employed in for 30 years, I believe this is the way to go. I so much want to be able to help others with the blessings that I can receive out of this foundational teaching and opportunity. Thanks for focusing on the truths of giving back and sharing the joys of success. Please keep givng these nuggets of help that uplift those of us who appreciate it so that others can benefit as well.

    More power to you,
    Ron

  154. Dan Says:

To be honest, I had never heard of you until now. I have been in business management for the last 23 years and enjoyed it greatly, but now things have changed and my life has changed. I listened to you with great intensity for the entire 64 minutes. Your information regarding time management is indispensable. I have to admit, I have been unemployed now for the last 8 months and my focus my belief structure regarding myself has dwindled greatly. In many ways this has been a good experience for me. I have re-prioritized my life and my family. Alas, although I am still looking, I have recently decided to pursue developing an income on the internet. This would allow me to avoid the compromises that will surely ensue if I again become a slave to my career. Thanks to this video I am inspired once again. You have a new fan Mr. Silver and I intend to pursue your course of action.

  155. Melanie P. Says:

Funny… “Maverick” is the nickname I was given by other pilots when I began flying helicopters. (I am a licensed helicopter pilot purely for fun, not professionally). “Maverick” pretty much sums up how I’ve lived my life (my poor mom). And I don’t think it’s going to be any different as I embark on my business adventures.

So it’s been pretty neat to watch your video… gives me hope of what is possible for someone like me. :)

    Thanks!

    Blessings,
    Melanie

Your Manifesto video was totally inspiring as well as rejuvenating. I loved it!

  157. barbara Says:

Interesting concept. Very similar to what I have heard from Peak Potentials. So there must be truth to it.
Yes, one has to follow one’s passion. a la self development gurus and

Leverage – how to get people to call you, not you do sales pitch.

Dan Sulllivan – Unique Gifts… Get more energyfrom it, and can make job effortless.

Earl Nightingale… read about it an hour a day for 3-5 years. Becomes a leveraged asset you can build on. Come up with big idea/new hook / differentiation in the marketplace. See what the offering is. More customers. Drive more customers. Better sales process. More revenue per transaction. Repeat transaction, customer loyalty. Sell more to exisitng customers.

I am still listening to the video. Great stuff

  160. Rob Says:

Is this an hour or too late in going live? Bit of a waste of time hyping it up and giving 30 minute advance lists for “fast movers” when the thing has not launched on time. I’m bored and moving on to find another guru that can deliver on time! Not wasting any more time refreshing a page that is not allowing me the first in line access I was told I would get!

    * Rob, you’re right. We’ve screwed on it. We are keeping the Fast-Mover bonuses open once they we do get it back up & going. Unfortunately, issues happen and it would have really been bad to keep to keep it open. Stay tuned. -Y.S. *

  161. Andy Valentine Says:

Great way to look at life. I am definitely looking forward to digging in to this. I thought I had broken out of the box I was in but realized I had only broken out a side or 2! Time to get rid of the rest of the box and step out in to life again. Thanks much !! Andy V:-)

  162. Kathy Says:

Nice presentation, I like that video.I just don’t trust many people online anymore. I am trying for years now and nothing works for me but adsense. Visions, manifesting stuff, law of attraction do you really have to be fanatic to build steady income online?I am sick of that hype. You are right, you need to have goal and work on it everyday to build business. Grow your business step by step and focus just on that, nothing else.

  163. Judy Ritsema Says:

You cut to the chase. No wonder all the computer geniuses like you. You seem to be honest, intelligent and have a down to earth way with people.

I hear your name spoken in the circle of people that I respect and admire for their genius and out of the box thinking. It’s quite clear to me that you have learned the secret of focus, implementing and motivation in your personal and business life. I appreciate the fact that you let everyone know that you are only human and with the right tools anyone can do it.
Everybody has to believe in themselves and their special abilities to get them there.
Thanks for being here and doing what you do.
By the way, my late husband was Russian. Where are your parents from?

    Judy Ritsema

  164. GREG T. Says:

Very simply—inspiring, prolific, straight to the gut,no B.S. But some people will never get it and continue to bitch and moan their life away. I don’t like the word (guru) so I’ll just say a savy marketer that made it and then gives back can come to my neighborhood anytime. And I’ve been around the block more than once. All 60 years.

If you ever come through Chicago, stop by,we would love to have you in our neighborhood to say hi.

  165. Muriel Says:

    Hi Yanik,
Your manifesto embodies so many practical ideas that most of us tend to forget about. Consequently, we miss out on the simple pleasures and joys that life can bring to us every day.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and encouragement.

  166. Arkansas Joe Says:

    Yanik,
Couldn’t do anything but fill out your ‘this site may be back up soon’ squeeze page. That took me to a page with a video and a link to get a cd package ‘almost’ free…which took me back to the original squeeze page.

Brilliant concept. Don’t know why I didn’t think of it. Squeeze and squeeze again.

    * Not what we had in mind – it was a temporary fix for an issue we’re having * ;)

  167. Yise Says:

    Hi Yanik,

You mentioned that one of the excuses people
gave for not having more fun was needing more money.

But it’s also an excuse people make
when it comes to giving back.

I know because I used to make it.

I have a goal to give a very large amount
to an organization and I used to wait to give
ANY amount thinking, “I’ll give when I have
    this large sum of money.”

    But that’s the wrong mindset.

You have to start giving NOW with
whatever you have – big or small.

    It’s worked for me.

    Whatever you want more of,
give it away and more comes back to you.

    Best wishes!
    Yisel

  168. Donna Allen Says:

    Hello Yanik,

You might get to read this or you might not! I watched your video, However I received the invite later after the specified time, Not sure what that means but. The one thing that I hung on to was FOCUS! That is a biggy for me. I would love to get the series you offered and pay S/H.

There is nothing like money to make you attractive and appealing to others. But, of course, the kind of people who are attracted to you only because of what you can do for them may be acquaintances, not friends. You may have many acquaintances if you become wealthy, but whatever your station in life may be, you will never have true friends unless you are a friend to others. Be very selective in your choice of friends. Choose to associate with positive people who like you for the person you are, who encourage you to be yourself and to be the best you can be.

Lastly will reach out to you unselfishly. Yes and will understand your weakness as Yanik said it best!

  169. Shirley Waters Says:

    Yanik

I love how you love life I would be happy with 10% of what you have, being at the latter end of life (65 years young), I still have dreams and goals and your video makes it all seem possible even for an old biddy like me, I also love your philosophy on life in general it is good to give and good to receive. I believe you are answering one question which I have asked of many successful business people, you do have the heart to help the helpless. God bless you I just hope I can follow your success I have many things I still want to do in my lifetime. I notice you have on your list of goals an African Safari, if I can help you there let me know I know people in my hometown who conduct them.

    Warmest Wishes

  176. Robert Prieto Says:

    Hey Yanik,

Great insights and so true… especially the part about having a deadline. I find that when I have a dadline it tends to make me focus more than I normally would.

The part about enjoying yourself when it’s time for enjoyment was spot on too. I’ve finally learned to either leave the smart phone at home or back at the hotel room while on vacation. I let my wife carry her phone for emergencys. When its time to unwind, its time for no telephones unless there’s a real urgent matter. Work will ait for a few hours and the world won’t come to an end.

I just wish the website wasn’t having problems. I’m really interested in seeing what you have to offer.

    Take care, my friend.

    Robert

  177. John Says:

How extraordinary to take over an hour to describe your, no doubt exemplary philosophy, without actually saying what you are selling.

  178. Regina Says:

Hi Yanik, …..I loved the video. You reminded me that I need to have more fun in my life and stop taking things to seriously. I admire your passion for life and I was really inspired. I also appreciate the tips you gave as they helped me put things into perspective about my own business and what I could do to improve the bottom line. Thanks again!

  179. Kim P. Says:

You know the phrase, “mimick the actions of people you most want to be like”…well, since I’m not where you’re at financially, then it doesn’t matter to me what any one else says or thinks about your system or information, I just know that it would be in my best interest to follow your lead. You obviously have more information and know-how than I do, so for that, you are now elected as my new fearless leader!
And for the record, I thought your video was inspiring to the effect of needing more.

  181. Jeff Says:

    Hi Yanik,

If you did not get anything from the video than you already have it all. The video included many simple strategies to get your business/life/relationship/or goal headed in the right direction. I think many people do not follow the advice of given on the video because they think it is so simple that it won’t work but it does. It takes a little guts and a lot of action but it can happen if you make it happen.

    Jeff

P.S. If you are at all upset because mess up with the internet (it happens) don’t do anything online because it may happen to you.

P.P.S. If you think the video was portrayed poorly or did not have any useful information your missing out on life!

Thanks Yanik perfect timing for the video for me

    God bless you!

  183. Jason Says:

Solid content Yanik. I’m new to your material, but the video was inspiring
in a practical way (if that makes sense).

I’m reminded of a quote from Jim Rohn: “From testimonials and personal experiences, we have enough information to conclude that it is possible to design and live an extraordinary life”.

It looks like you certainly support that same philosophy, and I am looking forward to hearing more of your perspective on the ‘design’ aspect of living an extraordinary life.

  184. Lyn Says:

    Dear Yanik,

I cannot wait to see the whole video and presentation of your seminar. I am in the hotel industry for 6 years. And at the moment I am working in a big company who my husband knows the owners of the company. I want to make a different for this company as they are lossing money. THere are changes wish I want to implement and be able to help the company. I am doing this honestly for FRee as my husband is being treated and very friendly to the owner of the company. So with this seminar you are conducting help me and give me more insights in making my documents. I hope I can be able to watch the full version of your seminar.

I also have been recieving emails from Guru about marketing and Enterprenuer but all is about selling affialiate such like that… but your one is different giving back and informing people which that is what I am doing right now. Is not all about money but ii’s about what you can do to make a difference. For me as I am watching your manifesto its really informative and professional. The first page for the four questions you need to answer before doing and planning something offer me a foundation for I have to do….

The only word that I can be able to say now is thank you so much and more power and God bless…

  185. Cheri Sigmon Says:

    Yanik,

Others have already covered many of the comments I would have added for value, so I’ll be succinct and just say – keep up the good work. I “get” you. Don’t sweat the small stuff — so what if it’s a bit “late” due to technical issues (no big deal PPL). Yanik’s products are well worth it. Relax; try to be patient OK?

Oh, I did really enjoy the “accent” Yanik uses when describing what his family says to him… makes me smile and laugh. After today, I needed that. Long day over now – off to bed for me!

Hi, Yanik! I say thanks a lot for all of your shared insights of you!!! It really has been an “eye-opener” for me in several ways.

    Hi Yanik

Truth is . . . Seth made a good point.

Free Bonus offers are getting out of hand.

A product offering to create a new easy, quick way to wealth, is totally devalued, when the so-called ‘Buy-Now’ “Incentive” goes on and on and on – ending up as zillions of hours study – valued at many – MANY times more than the actual cost of the product offered – which in itself, is promoted as THE answer to making a quick FORTUNE.

Crazy, self-defeating proposition – when you take time out to really think about it!

Let’s all try and focus on products that really can justify the asking price and do provide a ready-made opportunity for folks who are prepared to study, apply and act on the information in the Principal Product.

When the cash is cascading in from that – then is the time to move forward on further products!

Best wishes – All for one and one for all!

Talk about being at the bottom of the REPLY list. Wow I’m there.

Well, I listened to your video and I must say you have the right ideas as to how to live a balanced life.

I tend to be a manic towards working since I have a passion for what I am doing but at the same time feeling guilty for not paying attention to my family especially my son. He is 10 and growing up so fast. Playing sports…

When I do become involved with my family I am feeling guilty about not working. It is a Catch 22…

Well, after listening to you I am going to make a stronger effort to balance work & play.

Have you read the Four Hour Work Week? If you did, I was wondering what your opinion was about the book?

    Yanik,
Some people seem to complain about your presentation but if you have sat thru enough motivational speakers and flashy sales pitches it is easy to appreciate your dedication and the honesty in your voice. I am in sales and have had businesses make it and fail. I have been looking into doing an online business for quite some time but there is so much crap out there. I just don’t know where or how to start. After watching your video I believe you have given me someplace to begin. In my 60 yrs I have seen and done alot, but not enough. Its time to start over.
    Thank you,

    Great video!
Truthfully, I planned on skipping through most of it when I saw the time! But I ended up listening to the whole thing through. By the way, I am a sport performance trainer and I explain the 80/20 rule to all of my clients. It’s a great basic rule, and can be applied to anything (diet, time, exercise, effort).

I have gotten to know your work through Ryan Lee and both of you have made a huge difference in my life! I have not seen any results yet, as I have just begun to change direction in my life, but the wheel is turning. I have a membership site that is up, a newsletter to bring attention to the site, an ebook in production to offer a low cost product to potential members, and a 20 week fitness coaching program for those dedicated to the lifestyle!

Anyways, the video is great, lots of good info. Plus, in response to the guy who was bashing you for sounding “off the cuff”, it sounds more personal this way. I would not pay attention if it sounded scripted, seriously.

    stay healthy, stay happy

    Hello, Yanik!
Thank you for new interesting video and new interesting lection! How long ago you are publishing it in Internet? How many supportes and opponents you are have? What is main, strategic aim of your videos and speeches and how important, to your mind, it’s practically meaning?
    Thanks for the answer.

  194. Dmitry Says:

    Hello, Yanik!
You were writing in the letter to me about your new, original glances for many events in the USA. I am too like original thoughes about, many circles of the contemporary life.
Thank you for the letter and video!

  195. Sarah Says:

    Well Done!

You touched on a number of very important things that don’t relate to being successful, such as balance, burnout and not being able to continue to be creative, and the importance of never forgetting to just have “fun”. As someone who has experienced that burnout, owning a business and being successful at the price mentioned above isn’t worth it.

The second thing I’d like to say is that I agree, there is more joy in giving than in receiving – a requirement for being financially successful should be to “give some of it back” to those who are looking for the direction or who just need a chance.

I applaud your thinking – if enough of us can think like that, we might just start mending what’s broke.

    Best Regards,

    Sarah

I am struggling at internet period. I look daily at every opportunity that people seem to be succeeding at. But for us almost 50 crowd…(although I don’t look but 30!!) LOL I could give you the worst life history story you have probably ever heard. Lost my brother first at 21, then my husband at age 29, leaving me with two little boys to raise at ages 4 and 5. I got really sick after I had my second child and wasn’t supposed to live. Well, I am still here with a terminal disease. Although I am unable to work and hurt daily. The medical bills are skyrocketing! Some months the medicines alone are almost a thousand dollars. I just am taking the whole family down with me. To look at my father, a teacher all his life, have to cash in his IRAS to pay my medical bills his heartbreaking. I just do not understand the internet enough to make money at it. I do not understand coding and blogging etc…..I have purchased so many programs that I think will be the one only to be disappointed once again. I can not understand, and the medicines that I am on are so confusing….morphine, oxycodone, am now loosing everything. My home, my car and at almost 48 I am at a point where my parents are my only resort as to be able to live and be able to have a roof over my head. I would give anything to be able to understand what I need to do to get myself into a business on the internet that is profitable. I see your ads along with many others and it seems so simple! Why can’t I figure this out? Please if you have any words of inspiration or wisdom….send them my way. With 50K in credit card debt I am sinking fast. Just do not want to take the whole family down with me and want to not burden my family any longer. I do not want to sound like a charity case. I am not. I am willing to work and learn. Just do not understand. Please help if you can. Do not know how much longer I will be able to afford internet, so if you could ….please send any help my way in a speedy form! Sincerely,

    Shelly in Oklahoma

    * Shelly, I’m sorry to hear about your situation there. I don’t even know if I can prescribe advice here. The one thing I would say is focus on one thing. I’d suggest buying my ‘Moonlighting on the Internet’ book. It’s $14 at Amazon. I think it’s one of the best step-by-step roadmaps and it could help get out of where you are. Look at the 5 methods and then just *focus* on one. Turn off every other distraction and just focus on that one method you choose. Oh, and if you’re wondering why I wouldn’t send you a free copy – it’s not because I don’t want to or I want the money from the book. (I make about .25 cents) It’s because we value and act on things we purchase more than freebie material. I hope that helps a little bit. – Y.S. *

    Hi Yanik,
I came in late in the webinar with Jim Edwards intervjuing you during your product launch and thought, that this is really nothing for me. This Yanik Silver is somebody dandy, who has completely forgotten how it is to be struggling newbie. – I am exactly this kind of newbie, although 70 years old fiddling around all over the internet buying infoproducts here and there not being able to concentrate on any of the approaches long enough to be able to evaluate how to earn money on them. Partly because I cannot overcome problems due to lack of knowledge and money to buy the probable solutions.- Having turned down your webinar I read my email and found one from Dr Mani – not any favourite up to then- I did read a admiring, even loving tribute to you and what you had done for him as well as a very nice offered free product from him , one that I really can make good use of.
Now with a new interest for who you are and what you represent I saw a video of yours that completely changed my opinion about you. You are definitely a guy deserving a lot of respect not least for that you follow your mantra triangle. Did I also get it all right if your ancesters are of Russian Jewish origin? (Only asking because your first name points in that direction).
I am anyway prepared to follow you to the extent my economy allows me to. At this stage it is not much, but it will improve with inspiration from you and others I have come to thrust,

A smashing presentation Yanik. Thank you for all of it. best wishes for this project. I (and about 1 million others) will be standing by…

  202. Frank Sciolino Says:

    Hello Yanik,

I’ve seen your name pop up every were, on all the testimonials,
videos’ with all the Gurus whom have made it years ago in this
great Internet World we now live in.
I’m greatful for your success and all the other Gurus that are out there being followed buy other successors that are now making a great living on the Internet. I also feel that by Donating to charity is a great cause.

I have one issue that is bothering me over and over when I get bombarted with e-mail and sales pitches and much more to buy and buy, and belive me that the goal to make money, in most cases education don’t come cheap!
But think for a minute and this goes out to all those Gurus’ that may be listening, what about the 9 and 3/4 out of 10, of the good people that are struggling out there whom have lost everything?
their Homes, their retirements, their jobs, those folks that depleted their credit cards to try to learn how to make money on the Internet and have been taken for hundred or even thousands, I can go on… What about those honest folks that are really trying to make it and luck just is not there for them.
I suggest that ALL you RICH GURUS’ should get together and make HISTORY and donate your time to help those people at need. That’s considered a good cause in these very hard times!
You would be giving to a GREAT cause. NO one is looking for a hand-out here. Just a CHANCE to get started.
All of the e-mail that people are getting today are avoided, they
have been burned over and over. So when it comes down to being a believer, they don’ know who to believe!
I hope this message is being heard to all the RICH GURUS’ that
    are listening…
Specially you Yanik, It’s good to give, especially to the ones
that really at need and looking for hope.

    Thank you
    God Bless
    Frank Sciolino

    Hey Yanik

    Great stuff!

Outstanding examples of ‘giving forward’ from you and your fellow entrepreneurs. I enjoyed all 60+ minutes and felt it was well worth listening to over & over. (I have now listened to your inspirational Manifesto 3 times.)

I get it! Although not all of us were thrilled with the outcome of the election this week yet the message of hope was clear & inspiring. The Bible speaks of this philosophy, The more you get – the more you have to give. The more you give, the more there is to give – and the more will be asked of you – but it won’t matter, because you know, without doubt, you will always get more!

This world class challenge will not be resolved until those of us (individuals not the government!!!) who are free from the daily struggle to survive and who have been blessed with abundance, see with clarity the limitless opportunities of creativity and vision and focus energies to assist those who have no hope by giving them hope, guidance and sustainable help.

As John F. Kennedy said “The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never were.”

Wish you all the best with your vision. You offer is truly priceless.

    Bless you!

    David

    Hello Yanik,
Didn’t get to your information until late last night. (Nov 7th)
After reading your “Mission Statement” I said to myself, this is “Special”
Get some sleep & check it out in the morning. So, . . I went to bed!
The past two hours this morning have been inspirational. (Nov 8th)
You Epitomize the 5 rules of a Professional I learned many years ago:

    Willingness to Contribute.
Thanks, . . Look forward to learning more.

    Hi Yanik,

Thank you for wonderfully walking the walk and modeling with genuine openness. It is refreshing to see core values expressed in action; especially the charitable ones. I am referring to the NPO’s you directly support along with the expertise you share pro bono. In this industry, the overwhelming majority only provide teasers with the promise to enlighten only upon purchase. I am a realist and understand that it is a business and money must be made to remain solvent. However, some give real information away as part of their marketing campaigns. I believe you are in the upper echelon in this category on par with the likes of Ken McArthur and Rick Frishman. Kudos! Your Maverick Manifesto is contributing to the overall positive synergy in world by promoting win/win philosophy: success & charity. It is congruent with one of my favorite quotes, “It is one of the beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

As President of a struggling NPO as well as a person struggling with chronic severe debt (police officer injured in-line-of-duty; dept. reneged on disability; still unresolved), I truly appreciate the insights you shared for free. I learned things not even covered in my MBA. Thank you! I will use them to help me succeed with my life mission of saving lives from the #1 cause of death for all people in the USA under the age of 35 and in the world between ages 10 – 24; DRIVING!

INSPIRITATIONAL BUT VERY VAGUE LIKE MOST OF THESE.

  207. Tim Says:

    Boring, simplistic and fundamentally immoral

All this talk about how easy it is if you just follow these simple basics!

If industry standards fit 90% plus of people who pay you money will lose money themselves.

    No words of caution.

Plenty of times the words ‘simple’ and ‘easy’.

Plenty of name dropping: Richard Branson, Robert Rainer etc.

Plenty of saying what a nice guy you are: your wife, your kids, giving 5% to charity, working with Branson on his charity.

Why, if you had been born 100 years earlier, you would have been a great snake oil salesman.

And in the proud tradition of the motivational speakers. But even Zig Ziglar, when confronted with the numbers that motivational speeches don’t work had the humility to be embarrassed.

Hope you sleep well at night, and your beautiful wife and kids still love you, even tho’, in your heart you know, you have made yourself rich by making others poorer.

Even tho’ you know that your have manipulated people to raise their aspirations. And when they fail, they won’t blame you, they’ll blame themselves.

    Thanks Yanik

I especially liked the part about brainstorming no matter what time of the night it is. 13 years ago I ran to the local wmart at 3:oo am to begin what has become a great door opener for me. Took a lot of notes while listening to this audio.
Saved this to my favorites. Awsome!
