I am very excited for you to choose who will be attending the Underground seminar.

Hopefully it is myself. I have been following you for about a year now. Like most my first encounter with you was from "moonlighting the internet." I soo realized you were one of the top guys in the online industry.

Being a fitness coach I had already connected with Ryan lee and Zach even-esh. I soon became highly involved in reading your material, joining your newsletter and now all your copywriting and insider products.

I love the things you put out and would love to meet you in person.(I have talked to you once through facebook)

I already submited my application for the scholarship so hopefully I get excepted and can make a huge leap and become even more on the right track to the internet lifestyle.

I know if I dont get excepted to the underground this year I will somehow find a way(like the guy you wrote about in this post) to meet with you and connect.

Also my goal is within 2 years to become part of the maverick business adventures and come hang out with all you crazy guys and gals and be around the best in the world having great times doing crazy stuff.

Thanks Yanik for the opportunity.

And I hope to see you at the underground ; ) ;) (choose me please)

Oh, now I see the cut-off is 21. I know there has to be some limits placed. I don't know why so much of the time the limit is one's age and not other factors. Just some food for thought for anyone else out there who is thinking about starting a scholarship program such as this one! I congratulate you, Yanik, for caring.

Hi, Yanik,

I recently purchased "Moonlighting on the Internet." I picked it up this evening and began reading it. I couldn't put it down! That is how I ended up here so late tonight.

Anyway, I want to start my own internet business. I see here that even a 22-year-old is worrying about whether he is too old to be a candidate for your scholarship. Well, I'm 55, and I feel so green about computers and the internet. Most of what I know so far has been self-taught.

I guess I just wanted to point out that some of us older folks would benefit from some type of charitable scholarship program. I've been forced to remake my career so that I can work at home, at least on a part-time basis, due to a physical disability. I know many others, however, who are healthy older adults who would enjoy an opportunity to re-think their career paths. With the harsh economic times, and people nearing retirement age being laid off work, I imagine there are many people of ALL ages who would benefit from a program such as this.

I didn't write so that anyone would feel sorry for me. And I'm certainly not angry, because I think the scholarship idea is a great one. I wish, however, that someone would think about the fact that people of ALL ages are being forced to look for new work and likely wish they could get out from under employment situation where they "work for the man," to coin a phrase from MY generation.

Good luck, Yanik. I am going to see what resources you have available here that I can use for little or no cost.

Yanik--
I would love to get involved in your youth efforts/program and would like to offer my time and knowledge to help with the youth activities in February. I'll even be willing to fly from Hawaii to DC to help out!

I'm part of your Maverick Business Insider (via Carrie Wilkerson) and when I saw your youth goal I knew then why I had stumbled upon you and your success. I just didn't know how I could help. I just got finished listening for the second time to your interview with Mike Dillard and enjoyed every minute of it. Then I found your blog and this entry tonight. Ummm, I guess you're my Lance Armstrong!

I have found we don't teach our youth a lot about "business" and the important techniques and skills applicable to the realities of life; salesmanship, communications, planning, teamwork, creation thinking and doing, etc. Before I started the International MasterMind Action Group, I had been trying to break into the schools with a leadership program for youth I had developed. It teaches them about business, community and citizenship, using business logistics basics (thought to product/service delivery), connection and communication. The objective of the program is to connect and give value to their thoughts and dreams and showing how they can turn them into reality (different forms of income streams). We go thru a series of hands-on exercises and provide them with knowledge and the skills they would need to use to create their own opportunities (business or employment).

Can't wait to brainstorm with you on how I can help. Talk to you soon.

D@M Yanik you are a very generous man. Your generosity inspires me even more to become successful just so I can help others succeed. Why couldn't you have created this scholarship last month when I still qualified? I hope every young entrepreneur out there takes advantage of this multimillion $$$ opportunity & if not, allow me to pretend to be you for a couple of days.

P.S. Do you plan on having a scholarship for young entrepreneurs ages 22-22?

** Sorry Michael - we did it too late. :) **

Yanik!

I wish you had held this the first year you did the Underground -- I'm 23 now so I'm past the cutoff age -- but man what an opportunity for the right kid!

I would of KILLED for this at that age -- literally straight up "murdered" for the opportunity!

Hope someone takes advantage of it :)
