Using The Power of Mindmapping to Create Your Best-Selling Info Product

Heads up…

Check out this newest video from my two SOLD-OUT $5,000.00 per person & $10,000.00 per person workshops with just me teaching everything I know about information marketing.
This is one of my absolute favorite techniques I use to get my ideas more tangible, get clarity and help keep my projects organized…
It’s using the power of Mindmapping. I really think you’ll love it once you start using Mindmapping (or if you already do – hopefully you’ll pick up a few insights). Check it out and let me know what you think.

    Hey Yanik,

I’ve been using mindmapping for about a year, but just started applying it to marketing. It’s an awesome technique. Would you recommend any specific mindmapping software??

  2. Peter Lubrano Says:

my website is under construction and should be ready, I hope, on the 24th for launching. When my income stream becomes a reality I will want to participate in one of your seminars.
This is an exciting business with an unlimited potential to do great things for people….my cup of tea.
    Thanks,
    Peter Lubrano

Oops – ok link is live now :)

  4. R. Kuja Says:

Thanks for that Yanik. I’ve heard Sterling & Jay talk about it, but this is the first time I’ve seen it. I think I can really benefit from this. Thanks again for the demo.

That sounds like a very Chicago accent you have, if I’m not mistaken!

Yanik I’m not sure if the link is correct, the one provided goes to the previous two videos unless that’s what was intended. Is there a third video?

  7. Kavit Haria Says:

    Yanik,
    Great video.
I mindmap everyday and can vouch for it. It’s the most amazing tool ever for clarity, direction and purpose.
    Thanks
    Kavit

  8. Yanik Silver Says:

Kavit – I’m having my tech guy look into this. We’re having a caching issue (I think).

  9. Codrut Turcanu Says:

    Hi Yanik,

Well, I used mind maps since beginning of 2007 and
I find them the hottest tools anyone could use
to organize all their ideas into a single place
and have a big picture of where to start.

Going from zero to hero is a great
    mind map concept…

    Regards,
    Codrut Turcanu.

  10. Alan Says:

Seems like a similar tool provided by Visio and even MS Project which is also a great way to get your self organized and your projects on track. Great videos thanks.

  11. A. John Says:

This is a very interesting way of organizing the mind-map! I have always been linear and this apparently is slow and limits the imagination–which is so vital.

    Thanks,
    A. John

  12. JC Says:

That was pretty good. My head is kind of disorganized with all this information about internet marketing/ seo and it can feel pretty powerless and overwhelming when there’s so much of it to implement. This allows me to take control of the project and not the other way around. I especially like the bonus – that helps me focus on why I’m doing all this in the first place!

  13. Saleem Rana Says:

    Hi Yanik,

I’ve used them in the past, then got into the habit of making lists.
I’m not sure why I stopped engaging the creativity of my right hemisphere. I’ll start using mind maps again.

Thank you for reminding me about the power of mind maps to develop ideas.

  14. David Tinney Says:

I watched the video and was really inspired. I’ve used linear outlines (like I was taught in school) for years, but after watching, I started redesigning one of my websites. Thanks!

  16. Jack Q Says:

Hi Yanik. Nice demonstration of mind-mapping. Thank you for the tips. In exchange, I’d like to give you a tip. When I was in college, I took a broadcasting class, got my broadcasting license and was on the college’s radio station as a DJ. When you are recording your videos, if instead of speaking into the microphone, you speak across it, your recordings will be more clear and you will sound even better. It will help eliminate the popping of “P’s” for example. Give it a try.

  17. Andy Says:

I’ve tried just about every Mind Mapping product on the market and I recommend NovaMind as the best Mind Mapping product out there.

It has some great features for making colorful and interesting Mind Maps, like their “FlexiBranches”, and a library of over 1,000 images to make the Mind Maps look really good, and also when you are brainstorming new ideas, they have a system that suggests ideas related to what you are working on in your Mind Map. Really cool software, and the company is very responsive, and are constantly updating and improving the software.

  18. Digital Marketer Says:

Hi Yanik, thanks for that it was great. I think I am definitely going to use this to plan out my personal goals. I have been meaning to get it all down for a while and now I have no excuses.

    Thanks

    Mark

  19. Marcia Says:

I have been using mindjet mindmanager for about a month. I am trying to gain clarity in my search for a niche. It really helped. I enjoyed your videos and like the information you share. Thanks.

    Marcia

  20. Rogerio Job Says:

Thanks a lot, Yanik! I always heard about this software, but I never used it. Now I’ll give it a try.

  21. Jonathan Dune Says:

    Hey Yanik,

A good attempt at “mindmapping”… Although, “mindmapping” is a term that Tony Buzan came up with.

Technically, “mindmapping” is just a different way of saying “constructive and organized doodling.”

The human brain is very interesting and exclusively defines your reality in two spheres: the logical(numbers, letters, etc.) and the creative(shapes, colours, etc.).

When used effectively, “mindmapping uses colours and shapes in a kind-of “short-hand” version to explain youor memories of ideas.

Where would you go to learn the effective use of “mindmapping” tocreate massive financial, personal, and business success?

Where do the masters learn…? Who are the masters? Masters like Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hanson, Tony Robbins, Jay Abraham, Robert Kiyosaki and many more…

By attending the Money & You program.

“Mind Mapping” is an integral part of being organized and effective.

    Check it out.

    Keep up the good workYanik.

    Jonathan

P.S. You gave a excellent audio interview with Clayton Makepeace for the EasyWriters Marketing Club. Get Yanik’s interview at Clayton Makepeace’s http://www.MakepeaceTotalPackage.com

  22. Yanik Silver Says:

Glad you guys liked the Mindmap stuff.

Hopefully the technical glitch is fixed for most of you. If not, clear your cookies and try the link again.

Jack Q- thanks for the microphone tip.

Andy – never saw that sofware before. I’ll check it out.

Jonathan – yes I mention Tony Buzan in the video. And I’ve actually been through the Money & You program – but I’d used mindmapping long before that. I agree that using colors/shapes, etc helps in memory retention – but sometimes you just got one pen and a piece of paper and still works just as well.

I think the colors/shapes are more valuable if you are using the info to study. I taught my niece and nephew how to do that for their schoolwork.

Thanks for the kudos for the Clayton interview.

  23. Volker Hartzsch Says:

    Hi Yanik,
I am using mind-mapping techniques for quite some years BUT on paper, no software at all. Your video just reminded me to buy the software as it will simplify things a lot and allow me to share stuff with others.
You should add an affiliate link to mindjet so that people can pay back your good tip.

    Take care,

    Volker

  24. Christel D'Agostino Says:

    Yanik:

Your mind mapping chart in your “Selling your course on the Internet Success System” reminded me to structure my ideas in a way that the sequence of my priorities became much clearer to me than they were before.

    All the best,

    Christel

  25. Debs Says:

    Hi Yanik

I was introduced to Mind Map when I started my OU degree over eight
years ago. Took a year off four years ago (family problems) haven’t finished the degree yet. We learnt how to use Tony Buzan’s methods. I’ve still got his books somewhere. Brilliant when it came to revising for the exams. I had sheets of A2 multi-coloured mindmaps posted around the house.

I’m just getting into Internet Marketing and a bit overwhelmed with all the information, plus the ideas buzzing around in my head.

    Thanks for the reminder.

    Debs

  26. Jeff Mulligan Says:

I started using mind mapping after attending the Player’s Workshop and it has been a great help as I map a new product I’m working on.

It’s a great way to organize brainstorming ideas as well prioritize steps that must be taken.

  27. Sterling Says:

    @R. Kuja,

Actually, I originally heard about mind mapping from Yanik! You have now come full circle!

    @Yanik,

Even though I use mindmaps everyday I still learned a couple great tips, thanks for the tutorial!

BTW, until you get the dough to buy the Mindjet software, you can get started with a free mind mapping software at:

  28. Howard Says:

Liked the info on mind mapping very much. I would like to see more next time on how finely the mind map goes before you actually work out the details away from the mind map.

Also, would like to see how you collaborate with mindmaps. Can you use google to share the mind maps with others?

Also would like to see about note taking with mind maps. At your seminar for example.

Great job and look forward to more ideas.

    Howard

  29. Amy Says:

These are excellent video, although i already know mind mapping but some how i have not been using it at all, this is great for everyone refresher for some and great for starters?

You given great value and did not ask for anything.

    Thank you!

  30. Ivan Says:

Thanks YANIK, I’ve dapbled in it a short time ago and I now have some new projects going that I may need to mind map. It is GREAT nowing that you use it, and I Need to make it part for my ventures and Ideas as well!
I just love knowing when I am in the flow of great things or when I JUMP into it’s direct path! Thanks, Ivan

  31. Paul D. Guyon Says:

I’ve been using mind maps for about a year now. They have been very useful. I use FreeMind. It’s easy to use and it’s free. I’ve found this to be a most useful tool especially when I’m not really clear.

I loved the Cosmetic Practice example. Very nice work.

Yanik, the popping was a little distracting. Take the DJs advice and you’ll rock even more!!!

  32. Mel Abraham Says:

Yanik – good stuf – I use MindJet for almost everything – it is a great tool for those of us that have too much going inside our heads at one time>

    Good job!

    Cheers,

    Mel

  33. Ralph Zuranski Says:

    Hi Yanik,
Thanks for getting the word out about mindmapping. I started mindmapping back in 1980 when I read Tony Buzan’s book “Use Both Sides Of your Brain” that he published in 1974. When I learned about the unique abilities of the right brain and the left brain and how mindmapping integrates both, so a person becomes a genius, the realization rocked my world.

I decided to live as my right brained character Captain Biorhythm, a pioneer in health research and human awareness for a year, just to develop both sides of my brain and body. Going from totally right-handed to using my left-hand exclusively is a major secret in accelerating the mental development and brain integration. It was a major battle with my dominant left brain personality but definitely worth the struggle.

Mindmapping was the key to integrating both of my different brain hemisphere personalities. I have been an advocate of mindmapping for over 27 years.

It is an integral part of the In Search Of Heroes Program. I invested six months converting the entire book “Think and Grow Rich” into mindmaps with specific colors unique for boys and girls who see different colors because of the structure of the rods and cones in their eyes.

The mindmaps really helped me internalize the teachings of Napoleon Hill. I will soon be releasing the entire mindmapping series for this seminal work that most of the heroes I interviewed, like you, believed had a major positive impact on your life.

I am behind schedule again with my mom dying recently and my dad just had another deadly infection where I had to administer antibiotic IVs every 12 hours for 10 days.

I am extremely excited about releasing the mindmap series and really appreciate leaders like you, John Carlton and Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero spreading the work. You are awesome.
    Ralph

  34. Michelle Kulp Says:

    Hi Yanik,

As a student of yours, I just want to say thanks soooooo much for all of the wonderful information you teach…especially your recent videos on mindmapping. (I took one idea of yours from the Information Marketing course and made over $2500 in my first 30 days!!!)

I just recently purchased a “Memory Board,” which is just a “fancy” bulletin board that I personally use to place photos and images on of my current goals. I call it a “Dream Board”. After watching your videos on mindmapping, I am going to create a MindMap for the upcoming year for my personal goals and place that on my Dream Board so that I see it each and every day as I am working from my home office. This is really a visual representation of our goals that usually reside inside our heads. Goal setting is great, but adding the visual element and details through mindmapping makes it even greater and more powerful!

Thanks so much for all that you do!!!

  35. matt Says:

You really need a pop filter on your microphone. Listening to all those P’s gets distracting really fast

    Hi Yanik,
I have been looking forward to breaking even in the internet marketing business. I have not really dwelt so much in this business because I have not gotten enough information to go on with it. I believe that this will be a very good opportunity for me to break even.
I have dwelt so much on information technology but I have not really known ways to make money on the internet marketing. I am looking forward to hearing from you so as to do very well in it.

    Thanks and God bless.

  38. Jim Wilson Says:

    Thanks Yanik,

    Yanik or anyone…

I missed the mention of the program ust for making mindmaping. I wanted to use a simple to learn mind map that has brainstorming option also.

  39. Martin Wales Says:

    Hey Jim,

I believe it was the one that I use and love, called Mind Manager. I recommend the Business Version because you can export to Word and PowerPoint which is totally useful.

I use it for everything from planning my podcasts and radio shows for http://www.CustomerCatcherRadio.com to doing sales presentations on stage at live events.

You can find the software, with a trial I think, at http://www.MindJet.com

    Hope that helps.
